Songs can also enter with the album version, but I don't think James Morrison could be very high, maybe somewhere at the bottom of the top 200.

Yeah, I realize that Ben, but it was meant to be released on Monday. Wonder what happened to that.

It is lingering in the itunes chart between 150 and 300 (the album version) maybe it was cancelled or made download only. I don't know tbh.

Lol at JLS removal.

Chicane top ten :w00t: I hope they can even go as high as top 5 this week :o

But no chance of that :P

Me either, but I'm really glad the UK public has put one of the best dance tunes of 2009 in the top ten lol :P

I thought it would be about #21-30.

I want to know the true and full story as to why Umbrella has been removed :nono: - completely out of the blue. I dont think it has anything to do with Rihanna but if does.....

The jury are still out on that, its mind boggling, as its still on iTunes

Maybe the OCC didn't want to jinx the weather :kink:

Well... when Rihanna was number 1 with that song, it was raining just about every day it WAS number 1 LOL... and once we found out JLS were heading for Top 10 with that song yesterday, we had heavy rain (Well here in Nottingham we did :o)! :magic:

Same in London LOL

I'd be very surprised if it's been removed because of anything other than chart hyping. It was quite clear from download sites that it should'nt have been selling enough copies to be top 10. There's surely been some multi-buying going on somewhere...

Shame, it's one of my favourite songs on his album :(

Dance tracks dominate these days. Dance is back

Well JLS's Umbrella wont be back...

JLS fans were in uproar last night after the band's chance of making chart history was snatched from their grasp.

On Tuesday the midweek sales figures showed they were about to find themselves in a position where debut single Beat Again and its B-side Umbrella would both be in the Top Ten on Sunday.

That has never happened before.

But by the time the Official Charts Company's made an update on Wednesday, Umbrella, which was at No8, had mysteriously disappeared from the rundown.

And the army of JLS supporters wasted no time in taking to t'internet to vent their fury on a number of the boy band's message boards.

Officials at the OCC said the track should never have been counted as a standalone release as it is sold as part of a single bundle.

A technical error was blamed for the blunder.

But I'm sure the X Factor finalists won't be too disheartened.

Beat Again will rocket straight to No1 anyway.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...-from-them.html

Beat Again is better than Hallelujah so if that sold a million then at leats Beat Again should be number 1

interesting i remember being confused about the whole B-side standalone single business because in Ireland in 2007 Shayne Ward got to number 1 with 'If That's Ok With You' whereas 'No U Hang Up' (which was the B-Side) only charted at 11.

But when i saw the UK Charts 'If That's Ok With You'/'No U Hang Up' was at number 2....

and then i remember the Leona single 'Better In Time'/'Footprints In The Sand' peaked at number 2 in the UK and in the same week 'Footprints In The Sand' was at 25 aswell...

so i presume Irish charts just counted the B-Sides seperately

and then the 'Better In Time' sold enough to be at 2 but because it was the lead single it dragged 'Footprints In The Sand' with it...anyone know any differnet

and then i remember the Leona single 'Better In Time'/'Footprints In The Sand' peaked at number 2 in the UK and in the same week 'Footprints In The Sand' was at 25 aswell...

Well in the UK Footprints In The Sand also charted separately but only with its downloads. So I don't really get why Umbrella from JLS can't chart on downloads alone.

Shame, it's one of my favourite songs on his album :(

Mine too, along with `If You Don't Wanna Love Me'.
