July 18, 200915 yr I love love loved the track at first, and then got a bit bored of it :snif: I'd still count it as a discovery though, I loved all of my top ten (top 16 in fact), so you introduced it to me at least :D Aww, that's a shame, I'm still totally loving it after 37 listens. (which is a lot for me) :wub: I'm still thankful for the point though, without it I'd have got the same amount as last month, only I'd have finished 20th.
July 18, 200915 yr Author I guess Tom is hosting next month then since Ben said he didn't want to :o Nice to have a new host ^_^ I'd forgotten how much time it takes hosting, checking, doing preparation, banners, videos etc... etc..., it took me twice as long as in VIII with so many new countries/a much higher standard of hosting these days I could never have done it if I hadn't had holiday from work recently :o

(or something) I'm surprised I liked Botanikka's entry so much, I'm not really a big fan of Nelly or foreign songs but it was really catchy. Perhaps surprisingly, I don't think I knew any of those three before the contest and was slightly underwhelmed by them all. Voted for Veronicas, but it's just standard for them and not the amazingness I was expecting after it's been hailed as their best song. :(

Not sure what to do now, can't say I'm too pleased with how it did and I had a bit of a "omg this is it" moment when I found it, which nothing else last month had. I have a few (perhaps predictable) options for next month which rely on a few leaks happening. Hopefully the can keep up my rule that I only flop in contests ending in VII and VIII. -_-
July 18, 200915 yr Oh wow :o. I don't really care if i FELL to to 4th, i still finished 4th :o. I thought the final was a bit poor but the order in which it finished was great - i liked 80% of the top 10 which i more i can say for the rest of the final! I've noticed that the winner only got one 12 (from me), is that normal? :unsure: I'll definitely be sending something a bit more inspired next time....
July 18, 200915 yr Right, I've just told Tom this and hope the others won't mind, but here's the clear-up on autoqualification: If there are EVEN participants: Mdice and Numayania autoqualify, but if Numayania don't wish to AQ but Mdice do, then Numayania can hand it to one of their co-hosts. There will not be 4 AQers in the event of even participants due to sheer numbers. If there are ODD participants: Numayania (or co-host of their choice) autoqualify. Depending on numbers, Mdice and Eledan can autoqualify, but it isn't guaranteed as they have passed on hosting duties and as such have passed on guaranteed autoqualification. If both Numayania (and ONLY Numayania, due to the amount of potential co-hosts) and Mdice are both fine with not auto-qualifying: we make history and have the first ever BJSC where every finalist is there on merit of entry! :w00t: Obviously I don't expect this one due to the temptation of autoqualification, and I've let Tom know I don't mind at all if he wants to AQ, but from an idealist's perspective due to the amount of participants this is my favoured option :P

But it's great all the same. :3 As for hosting, yeah, I'm not hosting. Sorry. :lol: Other people need the chance. Whoever wants it next (people are saying Tom? I just got on) can feel free. I'd like to autoqualify, but I'll let the mods decide whatever they want to do. <3
July 18, 200915 yr I've voted for a winner again :cheer: I was worrying to start with that Florence & The Machine were going to win! Hendinia have been in 6 contests now, Mdice have won 3 of them :lol: How do you stop them?! And, delighted to see Numayania hosting. But, as a matter of interest, how many people are co-hosting?!
