Posted August 11, 200915 yr Couple behind Baby P death named Source - BBC News 11/08/09 The couple responsible for the death of 17-month-old Baby Peter have been named after a court anonymity order expired. He died in Haringey, north London, in the care of his mother Tracey Connelly, 28, and her partner Steven Barker, 33. A third defendant in the case named as Jason Owen, 37, is now identified as Barker's brother. Baby Peter's surname, Connelly, has also been released. In May, Connelly and Barker were given minimum terms of five and 12 years for causing or allowing the death of Peter. In a separate court case, Barker was also given a life sentence for raping a two-year-old girl. (Disgusting fukkin' NONCE...... ) Peter had more than 50 injuries, including fractured ribs and a broken back, when he was found dead in a property in Penshurst Road, Tottenham, in August 2007. It emerged Owen had changed his name to avoid being connected to the killing of Peter. Owen, 37, who was jailed for three years, was staying at the home in Tottenham, which is within the borough of Haringey, with his 15-year-old girlfriend. Speaking to the BBC, Connelly's grandmother Mary O'Connor said she still had contact with her, but did not know "what to believe". "She lied. She lied to the police, she lied to me and to social services." It has also been revealed that the brothers were charged with assaulting their own grandmother, Hilda Barker, who lived in Whitstable, Kent, in 1995, in an attempt to make her change her will. That case was dropped when Mrs Barker, 82, died before giving evidence, but she told police she had been locked in a wardrobe by the pair. It can also be reported that Baby Peter had four siblings. A judge had ordered none of the defendants could be named because the other children were still being placed with alternative carers. Barker's trial for rape also contributed to the delay in naming the defendants. Now that all four children are being cared for, the guilty trio's anonymity has ceased. The notoriety of the Baby Peter case is such that all three convicted people are likely to be given new identities upon release to protect them from vigilante attacks, according to the probation union Napo. Assistant general secretary Harry Fletcher said: "The question will be, how well known are they in five years' time? Trio who caused death of Peter Protected life for Baby P pair? "And will Baby P still resonate with the public in terms of horrendous crime? "If it does - and I suspect it will - the probation service and police will have no choice but to put in place a protection plan." Liberal Democrat MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, Lynne Featherstone, said she believed there would be widespread public anger if Connelly and Barker were given police protection after their release from prison. "There's certainly a section of the public that think that they should be in jail for life and if they come out they should not receive any protection at taxpayers' expense whatsoever," Ms Featherstone said. "I understand that anger and I hope that the indeterminate sentence is indeterminate and that the minimums that are mentioned are not what is served because I think the public would feel that that would be absolutely unacceptable. " Those responsible for Baby Peter's death are thought to be planning an appeal against their sentences. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, is it right that this disgusting trio should be granted police protection and new identities when released from prison....? Well, for a start, Barker probably wont escape prison alive (hopefully somebody will shank him in the showers), he's a disgusting pervert who raped a two year old girl; He should NEVER be released, he's a clear danger to just about every kid he comes across, if he doesn't beat them to death, he'll rape them..... <_< As for this creature who's the so-called "mother".... Well, she'll be in a women's prison, probably surrounded by women who are mothers themselves, doubt she'll last long.... Jason Owen, the third defendant - a nasty, sleazy little creep, perving on a 15 year old girl as well.... TBH, a bit unsure about his actual involvement, but he's still a pretty loathesome character.. We really are pretty much looking at the lowest of the low right here folks.... Do they deserve anonymity or protection upon release....? My own feelings are frankly, to hell with them...
August 11, 200915 yr Nah, if there is one thing that I object to my money being wasted on more than Crazy Chris' benefits it is stuff like this, they should not get protection paid for by the taxpayer they should be left to fend for themselves and if they die they die I am against the lynch mob mentality but I would happily make an exception with these 3 vile creatures
August 11, 200915 yr im shocked by the depths that $h!te has sunk too.... harming animals, he was cruel to his dogs... the disgusting act that was beating up and terrorising his own grandmother, and now i read hes raped a 2 year old girl?... normally im against the death penalty...... but not in this case.

Death penalty is a quick thing though I would be far happier if Rule 43 was removed from him and he had to mix with the other prisoners many of which will be fathers and I would leave it with them to deal with him as they see fit ^_^

She looks like Ron Jeremy's grandmother! Norma

August 11, 200915 yr i would fully support these creatures being put to death tbh. Let em serve the sentence and send them back out into the world without protection an let the public decide what fate shall become of them.
August 11, 200915 yr They are MONSTERS. Absolute MONSTERS. They quite frankly deserve to rot in hell!
August 11, 200915 yr Yeah agree with most people. My mum told me a few weeks ago. Absolutely horrible thing to do. Poor baby :( Edited August 11, 200915 yr by The Music Luva
August 11, 200915 yr Agree with everything said here. They should rot in hell. Just seen the mother on News At Ten. Gawd she is UGLY!! They say it could cost £1million each a year to provide them with protection, new identities and housing! Edited August 11, 200915 yr by Crazy Chris
August 11, 200915 yr Pretty much speechless here... I can only say never release them from prison. :( Edited August 11, 200915 yr by FM11

I'm with Craig tbh, I say, let the other prisoners have him, why should polite society stain its hands on this c/unt..... Prisoners at least have the decency to know how to deal with fukkin' nonces like Barker, a makeshift knife straight up the 'Gary Glitter' repeatedly, absolutely agonizing death... I say, we just look the other way and let the law of the jungle have reign.... "Oops, a clerical error, Guvnor, dunno how it happened"..... -_- Same for that vile fukkin' bitch as well....
August 11, 200915 yr Karma will sort em out. Even if they survive jail and get their new identity the on thing they can't escape is Karma.
August 13, 200915 yr While I don't by any means have sympathy for the woman, I do find it quite odd that the mother is being put on the same level as the other two - I'm NOT defending her here before anyone accuses me of doing so - when, while the other two were assaulting Baby P, she was being a negligent mother. Her crimes come more from what she didn't do rather than what she did do, which, while quite disgusting still, isn't quite on the same level as actually killing the child itself... Then again, it is quite upsetting to read the backgrounds of all three of the criminals, and quite shocking to think that had Baby P survived in all likelihood he would have gone on to do the same :(

Probably too busy drinking or smoking or taking drugs to give a flying fukk... I'd neuter that bitch frankly, she should never, EVER be allowed to bear children again.... Harsh...?? I really dont care if you think what I say about her is harsh, she's as bad as Myra fukkin' Hindley or Rose West in my book.... <_<
August 13, 200915 yr Based on the known facts and a fair degree of supposition, here is what may have happened. First, an indisputable fact. Tracy Connelly did not have a happy childhood. She didn't experience what it is like to have a loving mother. Then there's the first supposition. It seems that, most of the time, her relationship with the father of her children was a good one and that, for the first time in her life, she had some sort of stability. For whatever reason that relationship broke down which is where things started to go horribly wrong. Clearly the two brothers appear to be violent thugs. So, it is surely quite possible that one or both of them threatened to kill her if she reported them to the police. If so, maybe she will now have time to reflect and do the decent thing by giving evidence against them. She would still be guilty of neglect but it might result in one or both of the brothers being convicted of murder.
August 13, 200915 yr I do not agree with taxpayers money being used to protect these scum, or giving them a new identity. What kind of signal does this send out to other potential crims, be as sadistic as you like and if you get caught you get protected in jail and you get a new look, identity and live somewhere else free to do the same again. That is totally abhorrent. Mind you as Norma rightly points out it might cost a £1m to fix her face to make her look better.

I really dont care if you think what I say about her is harsh, she's as bad as Myra fukkin' Hindley or Rose West in my book.... <_< Note that at no point did I state her treatment was harsh :P I'm inclined to go with a mixture of negligent mother who, given her background, should never have had kids, intensified by living with two violent men. With the latter, there was no way anything was going to happen. And I am NOT absolving her of blame in saying that, only that, given her upbringing, it would already have been unlikely enough she would have cared (and that one's more a failing on the part of the authorities in not giving greater supervision - what control did she have over the first seven years of her life which molded her into what she became?), but that any care whatsoever would have been outweighed by self-preservation given the nature of the men...
August 14, 200915 yr be as sadistic as you like and if you get caught you get protected in jail and you get a new look, identity and live somewhere else free to do the same again. That is totally abhorrent. I somehow doubt they'd be quite free to do the same again...they'd doubtless be under very close monitoring, especially the paedophile... Although I'm very ambivalent on this one...a part of me thinks that it is disgusting that they should be protected in such a manner, but the other part of me thinks that once they have done their time, surely they should be allowed to get on with their lives (although I would argue life imprisonment without parole for the two men)...what is the woman's sentence? Additionally, mob rule disgusts me on principle after News of the World-gate, regardless of the targets, which only adds to my ambivalence on the issue...although, as I said, I would argue that only the woman be eligible and even that would be after at least 20 years in prison.
