September 10, 200916 yr It is my opinion and i will say what i want. I personally would never buy a beatles record. I think their music is totally boring and dull. You can call me whatever you want and slag me off for my opinion but i dont care. and arent people who disagree with you allowed an opinion then and can say whatever they want. ? MY opinion, is anyone who calls the beatles average or '$h!te' is being ridiculous. if you dont like them, fair enough, but no way were they those things you said, which is not opinion, its an untruth.
September 10, 200916 yr MY opinion, is anyone who calls the beatles average or '$h!te' is being ridiculous. well then, I must be ridiculous. I like the a few of The Beatles' songs but all in all, in my opinion, their songs are actully very average, definitely not shit though. Edited September 10, 200916 yr by HalfPsycotic
September 10, 200916 yr The Beatles Albums, (Thursday Mid Weeks), are where they are on ONE DAY'S SALES. The Albums above & below them have FOUR DAYS SALES, (Sunday to Wednesday). We will see where The Beatles Albums are after 2, 3, & 4 Days Sales..... QUESTION IF The Beatles Stereo Box Set is still in the Top 20 on Sunday - or even in the Top 10 - will it be the first Box Set, with more than 3 CD's in it, to ever get so high in the UK Album Chart? In 1986 Bruce Springsteen reached No.4 with 'Live 1975 -1985' - which came in 3 Formats. It was 5 Vinyl LP's, 3 CD's, & 3 Cassettes. But, I THINK that The Beatles are the first Act to reach the Top 20 with a Box Set of more than 3 CD's. Or a Box Set with more than 5 Disks, (of any kind), in it. Am I right?

I believe P!nk's box set containing her first four albums went top 10 earlier this year. Not sure if that's what you're on about though?

Kings Of Leon did it as well with their boxed set of 3 CD's, as well as Pink already mentioned, I think Pink reached top 10, and Kings Of Leon #14 I think.
September 10, 200916 yr grr at the beatles $h!te pushing beverley down the album chart That must be one of the most stupidist posts ever made in the history of BJ, and I include all Charis's posts about West$h!te. Nobody is saying you should like them personally, but to say the biggest selling artists in music ,ever,The artists who probably had more influence on music in the last 50 years, to say they are $h!te is beyond belief. So over a billion records sold, in your opinion, that means you think there must be a lot of idiots out there then, who bought all their records. The reason people are buying them again are because they are liked and appreciated by the vast majority. PS. who is Beverley Knight again? Doubt she will be remembered in 5 years time let alone 40.
September 10, 200916 yr He thinks their music is $h!t. end of. Why should anyone else care what his opinions are, they are his opinions not anyone else's he isn't trying to force them on to anyone is he, he is just expressing what he thinks. Can we move on now please? I think The Beatles are going to be at #2 tomorrow methinks.
September 10, 200916 yr At least Michael Jacksons estate will benefit from all these re-released albums. Im happy about that. I can see their influence on the music industry, and totally respect that, but i dont have any time at all for their music.

I can't believe somebody comes onto a chart forum and actually believes the Beatles sold over a billion records. It's simply not true and there is no evidence to back this figure up. It's pure marketting hype, which unfortunately has been regurgitated by the media over the years. Do the research and you'll realise it's not true. The Beatles are certainly one of the biggest selling acts in the world though along with Elvis (who also has sold nowhere near 1billion albums despite the records company's and fan's claims) and Michael Jackson. It's impossible to be certain who is the biggest selling though. All 3 acts have sold far short of the 1billion albums mark. Media often confuses 'units' sold with 'albums' sold and they are very different things. Elvis and The Beatles have so many albums it's easier for them to achieve huge sales than Michael Jackson who has relatively few albums. Similar to Beatles, Elvis, and Jackson, ABBA sales are also grossly over-hyped. The Beatles, Elvis and ABBA became the media darlings over the years and have been hyped beyond all reason. While all good acts in their own right and very influential, people should try to take what the record execs and media say with regards to sales. One other important thing to note: Michael Jackson's Thriller album has not sold 104million copies. This was misquoted from his former spokesperson. It is still by far the biggest selling album in the world though, with just over 70million confirmed sales.
September 11, 200916 yr Author From Digital Spy, Thursday 10, 2009 According to figures from the Official Charts Company, the group will secure five Top 20 places and 15 albums in the Top 75. Originally a number one in 1969, Abbey Road is currently the bestselling album, while the stereo box set is also expected to appear in the Top 20. "These results for the reissues indicate that Beatlemania is alive and well," Martin Talbot of the Official Charts Company said. "There are still three more sales days to be counted - today, Friday and Saturday - so this story is not complete yet. But already it is clear that the Beatles' enduring appeal shows no signs of waning." The biggest selling reissued Beatles albums so far are: 1. Abbey Road 2. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 3. Revolver 4. The Beatles (Stereo Box Set) 5. Rubber Soul 6. The Beatles 7. Past Masters 8. Magical Mystery Tour 9. The Beatles In Mono 10. A Hard Day's Night

September 11, 200916 yr I'd like to see today's sales figures to see whether things have tightened up in the album chart. Reckon the Beatles could have strong weekend sales that would push them all up the chart.
