September 10, 200916 yr grr at the beatles $h!te pushing beverley down the album chart How can you or anyone call the band who transformed popular music from the ownership of middle aged Svengalis pumping bland puppet singers into the pop charts; into something where just 7 years later artists were in control recording their own music is beyong my comprehension. Just 7 years together as a recording unit; just over 9 hours of recorded music and 1.1 billion sales later they changed the world of music forever. If you think the Beatles are $h!te than go listen to Westlife or something equally dull and bland.
September 10, 200916 yr It's his opinion. I agree The Beatles aren't $h!t but they are average. Westlife are $h!t. Edited September 10, 200916 yr by About a Steve

I personally would never buy a beatles record. I think their music is totally boring and dull. You can call me whatever you want and slag me off for my opinion but i dont care.

You can call me whatever you want and slag me off for my opinion but i dont care. Slagging off The Beatles for pushing down Beverley Knight is not a valid opinion, I'm sorry. And as TiP has said below me, you are alright to say if you don't *like* the Beatles, but to say they are $h!te is just insulting. Edited September 10, 200916 yr by Brayden
September 10, 200916 yr It's his opinion. I agree The Beatles aren't $h!t but they are average. Westlife are $h!t. How can you possibly say they are average. FFS they transformed the world of music, and single handledly established the importance of British music in the world so that it is revered today. You are entitled to say you don't like it, but to say the Beatles are average is a bloody insult to what they achieved in such a short space of time. I mean the Sugababes have been together as a recording unit far longer than the Beatles, but they have achieved next to nothing compared to what The Beatles achieved in a shorter period of time.
September 10, 200916 yr I don't like the Beatles music & I'm disappointed Bev's album is gonna have a lower peak cause of them but its obvious they made a huuuuuge impact on music and will be remembered for like ever
September 10, 200916 yr Slagging off The Beatles for pushing down Beverley Knight is not a valid opinion, I'm sorry. It is my opinion and i will stick to it. Will michael jackson's estate be getting a cheque in royalites for all of these albums being sold?
September 10, 200916 yr I don't see why people shouldn't express their opinions on certain artists, regardless of how influential they have been. If Danalco doesn't like the Beatles, it's got nothing to do with anyone else. He can like what he wants... I'm not a particularly big Beatles fan either. Sure, I can see they've had a huge impact on the music industry and I respect that, but it doesn't mean I have to think their music is good, surely?

Yes I know that but I find everything about them average. It didn't say anything about them not changing the music industry and nor did I say anything about Sugababes having done so. I agree with what Cremey said. I find it annoying when I have to put IMO (and other variations) at the end of my posts when you should just assume it is an opinion and not fact. I mean I don't say In my opinion when I speak why should I have to put it when I write.

September 10, 200916 yr There's a difference with not liking someone and thinking they're overrated and saying they're average/poor. No matter how much you like or dislike them the Beatles are certainly NOT average. I can't stand Radiohead or Kate Bush, but they're not average. Anyone can see that they're very good artists...
September 10, 200916 yr It's his opinion. I agree The Beatles aren't $h!t but they are average. Westlife are $h!t. I think saying The Beatles are average is actually worse than saying they're $h!t. At least saying something is $h!t means they have provoked a reaction. To say they're average implies that they are being flippantly dismissed. The Beatles should never be dismissed. That's just my opinion by the way! Norma
September 10, 200916 yr I personally don't really like a single Beatles song tbh. :( Hey Jude and Yesterday are alright, but none of their music "grabs" me in any way whatsoever. Personally I can't see why they were so big, but that's obviously me just missing something as I'm clearly in the minority.
September 10, 200916 yr Is anyone else shocked The Beatles are as low as they are given the current low sales? I for one expected for them to take at least the top 2 spots in todays mids with big opening sales... Maybe I was over-estimating...
September 10, 200916 yr Author Enjoy your hat on Sunday. http://lh5.ggpht.com/Hanabi890/SIkeQCG36JI/AAAAAAAABqM/1uRUDMyZ9Z8/s800/dragan-dabic-eating-hat01a.jpg :D I just had to reply to this, oh well I prefer mine with loads of cream, but it could still climb :P grr at the beatles $h!te pushing beverley down the album chart And how can you say The Beatles are $h!t, I hope a load of $h!t falls on Westlife for boring us to death with their music for the past 10 years... plus.
