There's been one day since this was released that I haven't listened in full (because I was away, and even then I listened to what I could!). The album is so so so good, I'm still in disbelief. It's better than I ever imagined. 😭😭

I've always interpreted it to mean something iconic. Maybe that's not right idk 🤷‍♂️🤣

The fact that it's the £20 music prize should say it all, it's literally just a bit of fun so that the site can honour some of the tracks they've been loving over the course of the year, awarded by a panel, in a similar way to how most awards are done (just far more informally)

From what I've seen, almost every artist (that tours) does this with their albums, even if they haven't announced a tour yet they say "to gain presale for future shows". Some artists are just more popular touring artists, it's as simple as this! In my books, I would far prefer this was the only way to access presales for shows! Then, theoretically, the artist ensures that the people that are first priority to see their show are interested in the album that they presumably would like to play songs from 😂 (I'm really not a fan of the O2 priority/whatever other presale bloodbaths lol)

I see what you mean, but 'Unconditional' is a phenomenal song and probably needed the exposure. 'Before You Break My Heart' looks like it might get somewhere without that leg up!

Finally got around to opening my vinyl today (I'd been holding off as I've run out of protective sleeves, but people saying that their orders were mixed up got me worried that my standard artwork one might have been the black vinyl 😂) My god, these are worth the money. So much detail has gone into them! My only minor gripe is that the alt artwork and standard both have the same cover on the booklet, I feel it would have been nice to have the cover of the booklet match the artwork (or the alt artwork to have the standard artwork on the booklet!)

Also, in particular, Niall's solo career has hardly been a disaster 😂 That review can get in the bin. Lol

If it's too busy for you, buy a copy and tipex/paint over the bits you don't like. That's my only solution 🤣 It's a sin, but at least our Jade will get the sale haha 🙈😂

Looks like Mini Viva had 3 songs nominated (which ended up being their whole discography) in 2010! And Rizzle Kicks (sort of) in 2012 with 'Down with the Trumpets' and 'Heart Skips a Beat' (obviously that was a feature though) It doesn't look like there are any other examples though! So there is precedent, but it's not regular. Also, AOMD was nominated last year too. I think that's why this year is 12+1 songs haha

Yeah, I was definitely only a little disappointed. I simultaneously loved every single moment and was incredibly grateful to be there! (a boy can dream though haha) She did also sing a line of 'Natural at Disaster' and 'Lip Service' acapalla when asking the audience what songs they were loving tbf. But I would have died at there being more than that!

On the way home from the Banquet show (I think I can post this as these were standalone shows). The show was fantastic, though it wasn't an acoustic show as it was advertised as 😂 (though maybe I'm imagining that...) I was a little disappointed (and would have been even more so, if I'd actually been to one of them) that the setlist was literally just the festival set + 'gossip'. I personally think she should have swapped out the Little Mix medley (the medley is also full of some of my least favourite of their singles haha) for one ot two of the album tracks as guaranteed crowd pleasers were really not a necessity! Despite that, it was a phenomenal performance and a great taster for what I can expect on tour, she really is a STAR! 😍

Sooorrryyyyyyyyy! It's far from slander, just emphasises exactly how good this album is!
