Yes, Isak. Suspect we will go back in for him shortly, even if Newcastle haven’t sorted a replacement.

Leaves is a bit light in attacking areas but there zero way I could see us getting rid of Nunez and Diaz without replacements.

Man United Supporters Thread Pt.II
Inevitably Isak ends up coming to Liverpool, I think at this point the only reason it hasn't happened is Newcastle have just not been prepared as a club. What's probably going to happen is they end up over-paying for a striker and the Isak deal becomes something like £150m, but the deal will be structured in a way that the add-ons are difficult to achieve and a lower base fee. Ultimately I think we all end up overpaying.

It’s strange though as Sesko is really one of those fan appeasement signings. His Agent wants him to move, but I really don’t think he’s worth anywhere near what’s being mooted. It’s a really bonkers signing at the price and what Leipzig are getting with.

I think the player wants Man Utd personally. Newcastle have had an awful window of being rejected by players and suspect the trend will continue.

Think Isak is coming is regardless whether they sign Sesko. Think at this stage they just sign any old striker.

Leipzig must be laughing. There is absolutely no way Sesko is worth anything like the figures being branded about. There’s a reason Arsenal walked away from the deal.

I suspect he'll end up signing a new deal at PSG or walk away next summer for a massive contract somewhere. Interesting to see if Man Utd match that.

2025 Cricket Thread
Was a great Test series, probably as good a series as I can remember outside of the Ashes. I've been really engaged throughout - thought across the series a draw was probbaly the fair result. England got unlucky, but test cricket can also be a game of seriously fine margins. That lower middle order is just so flimsy and inexperienced at the moment. The one thing I don't like about The Hundred is we fit all the test cricket in over a shorter period and I really do think it benefits with a break for the players to rest and mentally rejuvinate. Special word for Root - what a batter. Over to Aussies now for what will be an incredibly tough series.

It’d be a classic Man Utd signing, he’s not even that good. Pretty sure most PSG fans wanted him dropped up until about February and PSG were willing to let him go. He’s a good keeper but not as good as the recency bias would have you believe.

Local Slovenian journalist from their big paper. Unlikely they'd put their name on an exclusive without having some reliable info.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
That Man Utd approach for Isak is genuinely hilarious. They've done that with every player this year and being rebuffed. @Liam Sota my view is it's all negotiating tactics. You don't bid for a player really unless you get encouragement from the club. My view is and the journos who're running the story, is this is obviously coming from Liverpool. We may end up walking away, but I doubt it. I purely believe a lot of this is just PR and negotiating tactics. Allegedly a few of the Twitter ITKs are suggesting Isak is about to hand a formal transfer request in, which ultimately I suspect Newcastle want him to do and so do Liverpool.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
Newcastle are not a rival of Liverpool, they might see themselves as one, but they are certainly not a rival. By all accounts it sounds like Isak's camp communicated months ago to Newcastle that he wished to leave and they've had next to zero contingency plans in place. It's been an absolute disaster of a summer for them, don't think they managed a single target in the transfer window outside of Elanga. I think this all gets done for about £125m with some achievable and not achievable add-ons in play.
