  1. I can't believe this is the case and I feel this sets a very dangerous precedent. If this is a criminal matter and was handled by the police, the CPS did not feel the evidence was strong enough to secure a convinction, so in my view the case must have not been water tight. To then make a complaint at the workplace just feels.. petty? I think it sets a really dangergous precedent unless the person is an employee of the BBC and the acts happened within the workplace. Personally the words in the dismissal were about personal conduct. It's why I think the two matters are not linked and are merly coincidental. Think it was well known Scott like a bit of blow and a drink, wouldn't surprise me if he was found to be drunk on air or something akin to that.
  2. Let’s wait and see what comes out from the BBC. While these allegations that he was investigated for in 1997-2001 seem serious, the fact they went on for several years feels far more Schofieldy (albeit Mills was likely very early twenties and didn’t really hold any significant sort of power/influence at the time). It wouldn’t surprise me at all if these allegations have nothing to do with his sacking from his show.
  3. Let's wait and see what comes out. I do think with the BBC and the very nature of how they operate means they are far more risk adverse due to the public funding. Certainly not sure they could handle another Huw Edwards case and I'm pretty sure they will have re-written their policies and procedures how to manage allegations on the back of it Used to really enjoy listening to him on Radio 1 back in the day. I do think he was carried a lot through his various sidekicks throughout the years though (Chappers, Laura, Chris)

Feel a bit sorry for Tudor - clearly not the man for the job, but just seeemd such a weird appointment. Really does feel like for all the hate Levy got, he was kind of shrewed in how he operated. Spurs missed the trick not going for a vibez appointment like Man Utd did - even if they are not long term, feels the sensible thing to do in the short term as the fans at least can get behind the manager.
  5. Can't believe there's not more talk about this! Looks like the war is going to drag on and consumers hit pretty hard. All the pumps near me today were shut - already seeing rationing happening in Asia. While I think we will be okay for a few more weeks and likely less exposed as we get a lot of our oil from the north sea, we're likely to see global disruption. Just don't see how this war slows down at all, if anything it appears to be escalating.
  6. I'm not too sure about that, whilst admittedly I'm bias, I think the big difference between Man Utd and Liverpool is we have been truly shit before in recent times and the footballing struture behind us is much more solid. The investment in Isak and Wirtz in the summer was preparing for a Salah less season and for how shit we have been this season, we're in the QF of the Champions League, QF of FA Cup and in with a chance of Champions League football. Our big problem is the players are just not fit enough and that's not something that can be solved mid-season unless we just run. Teams outfight us as we don't have it in us physically, we've also not adapted very well to teams wanting to play for set pieces. I'm not sure Slot will be here in the summer, but if he does not, in all likelihood we will get Alonso who plays a very simialr style. I think a big part of our issues this season is Slot has a case of the Amorim in him - too stubborn to change things that aren't working. You can watch our games and it's easy as pie to see why we struggle - the gaps structurally are too big and too many players lose duels/make errors.
  7. Won't be too long until we help build or create the next new superstar.

I don't know. I could see a Labour minority government, or Labour getting rid. We'll see how much the Iran warn hits normal bills in the second half of the year. Undoubtedly the war has also led to less terrible PR for Labour. Still think the May elections will be a big showing. I think hopefully enough people are seeing through Reform and not sure Farage has the Boris factor. I think a lot of it comes back to a lot of people probably see we need closer ties to Europe economically and strategically and not sure a Reform government helps any of that.
  9. It's crazy, he's having a poor season but his numbers are still similar to Saka's! Just goes to show how great he's been. Undoubtedly with hindsight it would have been better to leave at the end of the last season, but I don't think Mo wanted it and nor did the fans. It's quite clear this season he's dropped off athletically and with the enw players we have, we've not the balance right to support Mo. A true Premier League great and one to be added to the Hall fo Fame pretty soon along with KDB. Likke Steve says, while the word legend is branded about a lot these days, he is undoubtedly a true Liverpool legend. That stat in the 2020s and Old Trafford is absolutely mad. Here's hoping for another send off event in May for the old times sake!

    Oh dear Spurs..
  11. If we play like we did tonight we can beat anyone. Think the shift in formation suited us a lot. Also the first game I've seen us play well in for more than 45 minutes! Will all depend how we play away from home.
  12. Friday 20th March AFC Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester United (20:00) Saturday 21st March Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Liverpool (12:30) Fulham 3-0 Burnley Everton 1-2 Chelsea (17:30) Leeds United 1-1 Brentford (20:00) Sunday 22nd March Newcastle United 2-2 Sunderland (12:00) Aston Villa 0-1 West Ham United (14:15) Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Nottingham Forest (14:15)
  13. I think he will be gone regardless, and I wouldn’t even be sure it will be Alonso to take over. Our problem is our team are always the smartest people in the room, we think longer term which is great, but football is also a short term business. I agree Slot spent a lot of money in the summer, but if you factor in what we sold and also the fact we didn’t spend anything the previous summer I’m not really sure that can be a stick to beat him with. What I’ve been increasingly annoyed about with Slot is it’s clear we are missing a genuine winger. But I don’t think that would solve our problems. A lot of them are down to him being too stubborn and I’m not sure I rate his leadership style. There’s been a lot of red flags this year. Again, I’m not too concerned really. We still have a great squad and I really do think we will challenge for the title next season with a change. Just not sure Slot’s ideal style of football suits Anfield.
  14. It's all on Slot, we've been like this all season. Our players don't have the legs for the intensity of the Premier League, I've seen this game way too many times this season. We've beaten one of the bottom 6 at home this season, that is absolutely pityful. The football we play is boring, we don't create big chances and coaches constantly know our weak spots. Slot is absolute toast.
