Love Island • Series 12
They need Harry to be in a relatively ok couple, which could happen. I missed Fridays episode, but while the cast this year are firely, they need a couple of OK couples ready for Casa Amor. Right now they've got some good cast members, but a lot of them are not coupled up. Think a few of them are coming towards the end of their storylines too, so can see some of them being expendable this week.

The Middle East Today
Or why is anti-war Trump who won his election on America First deciding that he's not anti-war and of all the powerful allies in the world, the one he chooses to back on the hill is Israel. It's almost like all politicians lie to the people no matter what part of the political spectrum you're on.

Kneecap member charged with terror offence
Starmer was put in an awkward position though, I think he handled the question as best he could. No idea why the right wing are so obsessed about Glastonbury. You know if anything is said it will be ct straight away from the BBC feeds. Just absolute bonkers, it's a festival 😂

28 Years Later
I absolutely loved it. I thought it was brilliant throughout, obviously the first half of the film is much like 28 Days Later and then it does shift. There were some minor plot points which I thought were bizarre and couldn't understand why they didn't do certain things, but then obviously I know why as there are two more films :D Spike was such a good character and this film felt like setting him up. The ending did feel a bit cheap and out of place.

The Official Labour Calmer Steering Thread (mk III)
Yeah but part of that reason is we are London and south east centric as an economy, a decision that was made 40 years ago, but it holds massive repercussions. Take HS2 as an example, all that’s going to do is funnel money and economic growth in to the south. There’s so much potential in the north but it’s massively under invested, and all these towns which are suffering and bleeding votes to Reform, either need better transport links to major metropolitan nearby hubs or some form of economic input.

28 Years Later
Will see over the next week but I’m hearing the second half is decisive! I guess it’s all a set up, but I feel the 1st film was also kind of like this as well. I’ve also heard the ending is abrupt! I’m still really excited to see it. Think it makes sense why Sony have not financed a 3rd film yet, but suspect it will get the green light.

Love Island • Series 12
Harry and Dejon are absolute TV gold though. The one problem I have with Love Island is people know the game so early and coast, see Tommy & the Irish girl. Harry is playing the game as it should be and it makes for great tellie. The producers are stirring it up, but they need to as the format gets so stale when people come in to coast. I notice there's not been a vote for a while and they are letting the cast do the axing.

Exactly. The north is largely under developed and under invested, loads of tax goes in to the south east & London commuter belt.

Love Island • Series 12
Now the show is well past it's peak, but this might just be the best cast they had in years.

28 Years Later
The sequel comes out in January 2026 and there's a third one in the works (although not written yet or secured funding yet). From what Danny Boyle has teasted, Cilliam is back in the 2nd film at the end and plays a lead role in the third. Not too sure how much I believe him though.

Premier League 2025/26
Some fixtures will get moved to Boxing Day. It's because the 27th is a Saturday. @Dobbo not even sure 5/2 is that good a price for City. The Club World Cup is a bit of an unknown and yes Rodri is back, but he will be nowhere near his level pre-injury for 6-9 months. They should be more like 4/1. I think Chelsea are a much better punt at 14/1.

Good test to see if you can win the league by 2028! Feel Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal have got a tough start!

FIFA Club World Cup 2025
The heat didn't seem to affect the quality in Qatar! To be fair, it will only be a problem in some states, East Coast shouldn't be too bad, but certainly the West and South is going to be hoooot. A big problem you've got with this Club World Cup is the lack of travelling fans, unlike in a World Cup. Plus the games will be at prime time for European audiences too.

Trump calling signing the tariff deal with the EU instead of the UK 😁 He's turning in to Biden.
