Emeli Sande (the singer in 'Diamond Rings') was credited in the iTunes track and sometimes mentioned on Radio 1's Chart Show. Not credited in the single cover though just like in 'Oopsy Daisy'.

October 6, 200916 yr I'm not Chipmunk's biggest fan, at all. Both 'Chip Diddy Chip' and 'Diamond Rings' are awful imo. But 'Oopsy Daisy' is a bloody good song and it deserves number 1. IMO. We have had FAR worse number 1 singles.

We have had FAR worse number 1 singles. agreed, it's one of the better UK chart toppers of recent times musically Chip Diddy Chip was appalling, Diamond Rings was alright but still grating, this is brilliant great to see two British acts in the top two of the British chart too :w00t: and with Alexandra/Robbie next week and then Cheryl, the Brit domination is set to continue :wub:

N-Dubz - Number 1 La Roux - In For The Kill Ironik ft. Chipmunk & Elton John - Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer) Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone Seven acts involved and all of them are British (ignore that two of N-Dubz are half-Greek)

October 7, 200916 yr The current influx of British artists is even more impressive when you look back at 2007...we only had one British number 1 from April to October. Instead loads of Americans (Timbaland, Beyonce/Shakira, Rihanna/Jay Z, Kayne West, Sean Kingston) and Robyn from Sweden. Thank god for the Sugababes who broke up the run. And the only British number 1 during that time? McFly. For one week. <_<
