I took ill-informed to mean either 'bizarre choice from a country that should know better' or 'song that would never do well in BJSC in a million years' e.g. Go Mario Go and whilst Go Mario Go was by no means an uninspired cheap choice (in fact it was rather a brave one :lol:) it was certainly not one that was ever going to appeal to anyone here

This is what I took it to mean too, because of the Leonville reference. They were always a country guaranteed to finish last or DNQ. :lol:

Well, someone has to rate them for them to be 'over rated'! :lol: I later went on to chart Agnes, but I don't think it's worthy of it being frequently lauded as one of the best winners. "Stay The Night" was just exactly what I hate, my least favourite from the contest and I don't see much good in it.

You can reverse them if you like - though I'm still sickened by the cheapness of sending Ljosio.

Well, I was certainly an ill-informed participant at that time - and when choosing an entry/song, I had close to nothing of reference. But this interpretation would definitely also cover every other completely new participants as ill-informed participants, and therefore everyone of these choosing an ill-informed entry.. not only the entries you strongly dislike?

Which brings me to my point. There is nothing of subjective matter to decide when a new participant chooses an entry. It’s a fact that every song sent by someone in this situation is bound to be ill-informed, even if the entry wins. On the other hand, Simondly in XX should’ve known better at that time, if he’d have been a participant for some time, that is. As with New Rivermaya in XIX. Or, perhaps, the Leonville award is just a copy of The worst entry award?

Velvet are like the equivalent of ear rape, dear god. Sweden makes some brilliant music (The Knife, Lykke Li, Robyn, Love is All), but I guess for such quality you need GOD AWFUL music to balance it all out.
