Considered one of the best lyricists to emerge in the wake of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac's deaths, Jay-Z has since carried the flag of hip-hop narrative skill. His Roc-A-Fella family had already created a solid reputation based on Jay-Z's 1997 debut. As his fame has grown, so has his tendency to bring more R&B production elements into his work, creating a club-friendly, danceable version of east coast gangsta hip-hop that hasn't diminished his reputation as a preeminent force in rap. Perhaps even more importantly, Jay-Z has become a powerful music impresario. In his role as president/CEO of Def Jam in the early 2000s, he fostered the careers of popular R&B singers Rihanna and Ne-Yo, and enjoyed a high profile as a co-owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team. His long relationship and eventual marriage to superstar Beyonce has further endeared him to fans - HMV

I find the album buzz very pointless- they mention all the new albums out, but they only play the top 5 so the ones that dont make it in just dont get another mention
Speaking of Confessions Part II. The Glee version is released on Monday alongside Halo too.
Not only them, but they're mash-ups

'Confessions (Part II)' is mashed up with Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life'! It's sooo good!

'Halo' is mashed up with the Katrina & The Waves classic 'Walking On Sunshine'! Love this too, but I prefer the guys mash-up!

(Yes I know you're aware they're mash-ups Tacticz :P I'm just hyping up tomorrow's show :kink:)

Also I will be majorly pissed if Alicia is denied the number 1 spot again to either FloMac or Paolo! :puke2: Corrine I would still be annoyed but at least hers is a new release...

ESOM still hanging around, still luvvit

Will this be here forever though?

Album Discussion Here

Looks like Girls Can't Catch, Robbie, Alexandra (Bad Boys) and Florence (Dog Days Are Over) are out the top 40.

Looking forward to seeing where Blah Blah Blah, Rude Boy and Ego are.

Playing With Fire would have went top ten if it wasn't for too many people downloading it before it's release.

PWF ^_^ A bit old now though

In love with this song atm. :)

Me too. It's most played song on my iPhone. I love you Rihanna.

LOOOOOVE 'Rude Boy'. Still not my favourite on the album (probably 3rd behind 'Fire Bomb' & 'Russian Roulette') Brilliant song!

Also anyone else think the backing sounds quite similar to Britney's 'Phonography'? (The breakdown bit before the last chorus especially)
