do you think robbie will be top 5?he's only at no 190 on itunes at the mo after FALLING after the Brits effect wore off.

 

does anyone think that brand new singles by an artist would be better releasing them on a saturday morning so they get a chance to move high up itunes by sunday and therefore when its a close race for no1 like this week they would be high up the charts by the time the sales count towards the following weeks chart?!

ithink its class but radio 1 has blisted it so not getting enough spins to get people into it - its a real grower. the video must be being aired if its in the top 100 again, it dropped to 250 last week. i think it went top 50 in the official chart the week it was released to dload as it went top 30 on itunes that week?!

 

so its moving up due to airplay alone?! good stuff it will go higher again from saturday onwards!! hate when record companies release a dload too early like this one - people dloaded it initially cos they are a big artist returning but it falls because the people who arent their fans dont buy it until they come to like it - similar to blah by kesha!!

Yeah, they really screwed up the release but I'm sure they're not that bothered really. I assume they just wanted their fans to get it as early as possible, which is nice, but they would have done a lot better if they held it back. I am very disappointed as a fan though because I was relying on them to bring some alternative music back to the top of the singles chart, but this single isn't commercial enough for the public (i.e. it's not repetititive and catchy to the point of being annoying :rolleyes:) The album will still be No.1 anyway, but not much chance of longevity unless they get a big hit out of it.

 

But going back to what ManicKangaroo said, why did it never enter the top 200? :unsure: Maybe it was excluded or something but I can't see why it would be.

i think rihanna has a good chance of top 3 next week, maybe a darkhorse for #1. she will be promoting the next few days, i expect radio and video airplay to rise next week and it going top 5 this week should give it the boost it needs going into next week.

Yeah i expect the record company just wanted to prevent illegal dloading by releasing it the day of its first airplay but then again it would have gone top 10 if it had held it back and ultimately that is what will extend its airplay and more people will hear it - the album may struggle for no1 if it doesn;'t go top 10 but it will be top 5!!

That's what I was thinking/hoping. But I'm not sure. Leona does well-ish on physicals (doesn't she? :unsure:) so who knows. Maybe & hopefully!
