Christina will stay #1, but sales will be shockinly low for her :| i just hope it doesnt drop like a brick.

How do you know they would be shockingly low though? Yes Not Myself Tonight wasn't a big hit but I think Christina is more of an album artist than a single one.

If she gets 35-40k in this climate, that's an achievement. I think Back To Basics sold 50k in it's first week (#1) when album sales were still pretty high. Anyway it seems to be a trend that US female artists gain a load of album sales overtime - Beyonce and Alicia being prime examples.

Back To Basics actually sold more like 94k or something (or maybe 84k, one of the two) in its first week.

Anyway, I think it's fairly obvious the new album's sales will be low and it's only there because there's nothing else out...

:w00t: for Alicia moving back up to #7, Glee moving up to #2, Christina staying at #1 and Miley dropping to #10! :kink:

Really? :w00t: I don't know why I thought it was 50k then.

It actually rings a bell now. Did it sell 83k or something?

Still, I have faith that Christina will pick up sales throughout the era.

Fantastic for Alicia moving back up to #7! Knocked down to #8 tomorrow by that vile song though! :puke2:

LOL at Miley. I really want her to go top 10 with this, as it's a great song, but I really want it to peak at number 11! She'll be the Sash of #11's!

If Dizzee & James are #1 on Sunday it be the first time the #1 will be different on Sunday since Radio 1 started their mid chart updates.

What about last week?

Incorrect. :P 'Telephone' was #2 all week, then overtook after Friday's mids, and also 'Gettin' Over You', as Aly mentioned, although there may be more. ;)

It'll be the first time the number one wasn't even in the top 40 announced on the programme

I forgot about DG, I've got a good excuse for it, my back is out. :P

LOL, for the first time Christina may be doing better in the UK than the US. Her album is predicted to debut at #3 selling 100-120K copies. :o

Is your brain in your back? :o

I wonder where derulo will be, #5 today, but due to the song being deleted could have such a negative impact as he's now at #24 climbing back up there but will he get back to #3/#4, doubtful now.

How about with Stripped? It only debuted at #19 before climbing to #2 when Beautiful was released. I'm sure it would have debuted higher in the US despite Dirrty flopping over there.
