July 11, 201015 yr Author 1 JLS - The Club Is Alive [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697714762.JPG Chart Run: 1 [1 wk] Release date: 05-07-2010 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697714762 Label: Epic JLS, arguably the biggest boyband in the country, release their first single from their second album. The enormous club track, "The Club Is Alive", is a change in direction for the boys, mixing dance beats with soulful melodies and a hook many would recognise. Sounding like you never heard them before, the single shows why everybody’s in love with JLS. The Club Is Alive is the first single from the as-yet untitled second album which is scheduled to be released on November 22nd. - HMV Video here: Chart history (Year peak title): 2009 01 Beat Again 2009 01 Everybody In Love 2010 06 One Shot 2010 01 The Club Is Alive Discussion Thread Here
July 11, 201015 yr Another non #1 to add to the 2010 list of non-entities at the top :cheer: Airplanes can join Don't Stop Believin', Starstrukk, Empire State of Mind Part II, Rude Boy and the rest as the massive non chart toppers that end up much higher in the end of year chart...
July 11, 201015 yr JLS did it again. Am I the only one who likes The club is alive on here? i dont mind JLS but before they released singles i was like what a load of crap
July 11, 201015 yr Quite disappointed that JLS have got #1 with this song. I do think they are talented but the song is just horribly fake. Edited July 11, 201015 yr by cookie_monster
July 11, 201015 yr Author Yet again the GBP have proven they can buy into any generic $h!te by a boy band.
July 11, 201015 yr OMG THEM STUPID B***********************************CHES. Come on now, it will be gone by next week.Surprised but well done to them.
July 11, 201015 yr JLS are #1 but where will they be next week? They are at #5 now and surely two new entries are going to climb above them. So I'm beckoning 1 - 7 fall next week for them. It isn't exactly what they want from #1 eh?
July 11, 201015 yr Two shockingly bad/overhyped #1s in a row - Katy Perry & JLS :puke2: My only hope is that JLS have a McFly style chart run and drop like a brick... Something like 1-13-38-61 would be good
July 11, 201015 yr glad JLS have there 3rd number 1! one of the many chart topping bands that actually deserve it!
July 11, 201015 yr I like The Club Is Alive. :) But seriously, are JLS always going to do the "two singles before the album" thing (which will get a #1 each) and then release the album during the high sales period (guaranteeing another multi-platinum album) and then releasing a third single (which will get top ten) before moving on to the next era and repeating the formula? They could go for years without missing the top ten. :o
July 11, 201015 yr  it must have been very close, but Im still really disappointed, this was the worst case scenario for me
July 11, 201015 yr This is dire! and Katy Perry is another overrated artist  At least the best song out of the competing ones has won! Not a JLS fan by any means, I'm glad they held the boring American hits off the top. :D

July 11, 201015 yr Two shockingly bad/overhyped #1s in a row - Katy Perry & JLS :puke2: My only hope is that JLS have a McFly style chart run and drop like a brick... Something like 1-13-38-61 would be good  Judging by your sig picture, I don't think you are one to judge on quality of music! I guess physicals and their front loaded sales helped them secure a close #1.
