What magic tricks Katy Perry and Paolo Nutini have done to climb that much on album chart?

There have been a lot of people saying that with this album. I did buy it for some mad reason. It wasn't really worth it apart from Golden Platitudes.

I didn't mid their last album either, but this just seems a step too far - if I liked the lead single I may have got it, but it was just so DULL.

The Manics have only had one number 1 album yet 5 others just going top 3! :o :(
