Take That arent that far away from JLS now :o the top 2 could have big sales this week, considering they have Children In Need as well on friday

That's not it at all.

 

It's when we get a page of Rated R sales, or a page of "Greatest Day is better then The Flood", etc.

 

Those things have nothing to do with iTunes and always end up in an argument.

 

But i assume people on this forum want to discuss music and sales but wouldn't go into Rihanna's forum as they aren't fans. It really annoys me everytime anything is discussed in THE CHART FORUM it is instantly shut down.

 

If this thread were purely about itunes updates and positions then 90% of the posts wouldn't be needed.

I know I'm known as a bit of an off topic nazi :lol:, but I prefer to pre-empt any potential arguments.

 

When discussions arise around whose song is better or who has had more sales, and words like quality, longevity, etc start appearing, it invariably gets personal and insults start flying.

 

I don't always do it - just when I see trouble on the horizon :lol:

Westlife's performance seems very sluggish so far - Could possibly become their first single to miss the Top 10? I believe their physical sales are strong but probably only around 3-5k?!

 

I really like Westlife but they seem totally reliant on the XF now their last single/album was all promoted around the XF and no further singles got released after the first one which they performed on the show and the same will probably happen again.

They have basically cornered the mother xmas pressie list market for the last few years, hence when they release their albums and the promo they do. Sales for that type of music are big enough to sustain it. They could release a single and album in march, but it would not do nearly as well.

I think TT is more likely to fade as the week goes on, JLS are in the first week and CiN promo will give them an unattainable lead. Also, I think it would look pretty bad if TT beat the official CiN single in their 2nd week of release.

I think JLS have it in the bag - TT are making up lost ground - however JLS will have big physicals and CiN - i know same as TT, but LYM is gonna get played about a gazillion times that evening.

 

Look at TCIA - dropped out of the top 5 on itunes midweek and still topped the official charts by 12k to its nearest rival.

I can't believe how high Ellie is! :o I personally can't stand her tbh.

 

Are TT far behind JLS? I'd love them to overtake them. ^_^

HELP! A bit off-topic ... but can someone help me with an iTunes query / problem I have?

 

I have over £5 left on iTunes credit (from a gift card). However ... I haven't bought anything from the iTunes store since December 2009!!! Now when I go in (I want to download Cee Lo Green ... yes I know I'm late) it's prompting me to give my card details again. Is this just for verification as I've not used the store for so long. At the top right hand corner of the screen ... it still clearly shows my credit ... but I'm just wondering if it will by-pass that and take money from my account instead.

Woo for Ellie! I can't stand her (that's a lie, I love the dub mix of 'Starry Eyed'), but it's a fantastic cover!

After the Super positive "progress" got from everywhere, this night performance (great one BTW) and all the hype... I think they will be maybe number 2 in the single chart but in the album chart... mm... 500K this week.
