That was all a bit car crash tbh, its what made it so good tonight  Cher was actually the best tonight but it was inevitable she'd go. Matt was a bit terrible, was out of tune in places and got upstaged by Rihanna (who I didn't know was actually a decent singer tbh!) One Direction was out of time with their backing track in their first song and I had a behind the sofa moment when Robbie set them up for the word flying

I'm on a team anyone but Matt for tomorrow methinks!

Not watched it yet, but I'm kinda sad, but happy for Cher. Happy she didn't go much further, but gutted that there will be no 'Turn My Swag On' performance from her :drama: - I heard from my sister that she was the best tonight, but even then I still knew she'd end up going! So what's happening tomorrow? I presume, Audition songs, then elimination after the break, Guest performers and then the winners songs, more guest performers (probs Take That! :drama:) and then Winner announced?

Well, I can't say I'm too excited anymore, tbh. I'm just intrigued to hear their winner's songs now

Welcome to 4 or 5 months ago Mikey :P

Knew Cher would go, really wanted her to be there Tomorrow though over Rebecca.

I think these 4 will all have some sort of success though.

1D will likely be huge, Matt will probably get the recording contract w/ XFactor, Rebecca will be picked up by some label...

And hopefully Cher will be back on Show next year performing her new #1 single ft. Will.I.Am. :P

Looking back, tonights show lacked that 'Beyonce & Alexandra' moment, literally one of the best moments on reality television!

I wasn't sure if I would bother with comments tonight but I can't help myself. It is the final after all.

So.

First performances:

Matt

For some reason, I felt unsure about the song choice at first, although I like the song, but by the end of the song I felt positive about his performance. I feel like Matt is the most musical out of all of them, although for some reason, he just doesn't quite click with me personality-wise.

Rebecca

She is the nicest girl in the world, gorgeous inside and out and while it was a nice, solid performance, I feel it just sort of blended in with her previous performances. Maybe it's that the voice is getting a bit annoying at this stage, even though it's definitely a strong voice and a voice we don't get to hear much in music.

One Direction

Not sure what to say about this performance. I guess I quite liked it. I love Louis from this band, pity he never sings solo, and it would be so nice for a band to win for once.

Cher

This was hugely enjoyable. I was tapping my feet and feeling warm. It's a pity she's gone, because maybe she would have done another performance of 'Turn My Swag On' tomorrow, which I would have loved and I was really looking forward to it. There was something about her performance of that at her audition.

With Cher, it's like I really liked her in the beginning, somewhere in the middle I maybe lost the connection a little bit, and then in the end (tonight), I really liked her again. And she looked great tonight I thought! She was especially cute in her performance with Will.i.am.

I also surprisingly found tonight that I might actually be interested in Cher's music after the show, if she gets to make some, because even though I'm not particularly a hip hop fan, I feel like she might make something different from the usual hip hop, maybe kinda like M.I.A., and I love M.I.A, so... :)

Second performances:

Matt with Rihanna

It got hot at one point, didn't it? :P And I quite enjoyed the performance, although I didn't absolutely love it or anything.

Rebecca with Christina Aguilera

Again, wasn't mad about it, but it's a nice song and they did a good job.

One Direction with Robbie Williams

They were really loving it, and that was the best part about this performance.

Cher with Will.i.am

Cher's look was the best part about THIS performance. I like the chorus of 'Where is the Love' and Cher sang it quite nicely. 'I Gotta Feeling' annoys me however, but the performance wasn't so unenjoyable after all.

I think Matt is going to win, and that is a combination of what I've heard/read and my own gut feeling, although I would prefer to see either of the other two win, even if Matt is arguably the most interesting musically. Rebecca is just so nice and I feel like she deserves it because she has been consistent and her confidence has improved. One Direction I would like to see win because they are a group and a group has never won and I just have this attraction to Louis (not Walsh, although I quite like him as a person too :P)

Over.

Glad Cher has gone although her duet with Wil.I.Am was great although I thought Robbie & 1D & Matt/Rihanna were all brilliantly worked in together. The Rebecca/Christina duet disappointed me as it just was ok but like most of you Christina did take over alot. I thought the solo performances the finalists did were ok Matt probs standed out more because with having the pressure tonsilitis etc he did a great job of his song. Plus Rihanna performance of "What's My Name" was HOT  & Matt/Rebecca/One D are the right three IMO.

Matt was so bad tonight. His first song was an absolute bore fest and his second with Rihanna was an embarrassment - you saw his face go when he messed up and then when Rihanna came on stage I almost died cringing at how he reacted. HE'S SUCH A SLEAZE. And looked like a little boy caught in the headlights when she got up close.

Cher was actually the best tonight - even though I'm always frustrated with her song choices; I don't get why she kept doing naff hip hop songs when what people loved was her first audition when she SANG an RnB song. It's beyond me why she never sang something like Knock You Down or Glamorous. Anyway, I hope she spends a year working with some decent writers and producers and comes back with something decent.

Oh - and why did Cher do Where Is The Love? It's probably one of the worst BEP songs. IGF was good but the fact it was so short meant she didn't do the "I know that we'll have a ball..." bit. Dumb.

Thoughts on tonight:

Matt First performance was solid, a little predictable but overall very good. I really liked his duet, the two voices were so different but actually worked together.

Rebecca Sick of her. Her first performance was her in excelsis (ie. voice doing all the right things but no charisma whatsoever) and she then got completely SWAMPED by Christina. Wrong kind of voice to stick her with.

One Direction Actually beginning to think they'd be decent winners. First performance was nothing revolutionary but the Robbie duet was bags of fun and he obviously genuinely rates them.

Cher Shoudln't have gone out. First performance to me confirmed that she has the "X Factor" more than any of the other finalists, although it also confirmed she'll do just fine after Rebecca in particular has been forgotten. Duet was good even though it had the feel of a final performance.

First Performance Rankings:

01. Cher Lloyd '3-6-9'/'Get Ur Freak On' - UGH I flipping hate GUFO :puke: - In fact, bar 'Lose Control' and 'Work It' I hate Missy Elliott. But that was actually absolutely fantastic! Reminded me of her TMSO audition in places! Fantastic. 9.0 out of 10

02. One Direction 'Your Song' - This song, is already bordering on overplay/over exposure! :drama: I quite liked this performance though and I have now come to the conclusion that without Harry, this group will be nothing. He adds a certain distinct sound to them, which could seperate them from being the usual, generic boyband fodder. 7.5 out of 10

03. Matt Cardle 'Here With Me' - Wow. This was boring, whiny and shouty! It should have worked, but it really didn't. A bit like last weeks 'She's Always A Woman' performance. 5.0 out of 10

04. Rebecca Ferguson 'Just like A Star' - I'm sorry, but people got excited for THIS? How dreary and her vocals really weren't very good either! She's awful and quite possibly one of the most overrated contestants, ever? Shame really as I used to like her, I guess I just won't get used to her voice. 4.0 out of 10

-------

Second Performance Rankings (Duets):

01. Cher Lloyd & Will.I.Am 'Where Is The Love?'/'I Gotta Feeling' - Right. First things first, this performance would have been a whole lot better without Will.I.Am (as others have said!) and I think, had she stuck to 'Where Is The Love?' we would have seen a different result tonight. This was easily my favourite of the duets. 8.5 out of 10

02. One Direction & Robbie Williams 'She's The One' - This was by no means "good". It was actually like a dad, embarrassing his son, by doing a karaoke number with his best mates, sort of performance. Harry, again, saved this performance. [/Harry-Loon] 6.5 out of 10

03. Matt Cardle & Rihanna 'Unfaithful' - Meh. Matt was particularly rubbish on this. He only got saved, because of Rihanna. He, himself was awful! In fact all the contestants did (considerably) worse than the guests apart from Cher. He's lucky Rihanna has improved immensely, vocally and he has HER to thank, he's now in the final. 5.5 out of 10

04. Rebecca Ferguson & Christina Aguilera 'Beautiful' - OH DEAR. What an awful and cringe-tastic performance! Christina's over singing, Rebecca's sick tone, Rebecca getting starstruck and not being able to finish her part of the song, which got a "must I do everything" sort of reaction out of Christina. In the words of Aled; POOR BRAVE REBECCA. 3.5 out of 10

So to sum up, Cher genuinely was the best of the lot tonight (by quite a distance too!) and did not deserve to go basing it on tonight's performances. Ah well. Glad she, hopefully, won't be under Simon's name! :D

EDIT: and the Duets aren't available to download :drama:

On talent we should have a Matt or Rebecca win (Matt was best tonight). But as someone has said, I'd prefer a One Direction win as I don't want either of the others becoming SyCo puppets. Cher was rubbish but a lot better than Wil.i.am. Cheryl thinks she's the 'future' of music. Well, I'd better chuck my radio out the window now then. And for people who think Cher will be the only one with a lasting career because she's 'relevent': perhaps she is now but hip hop won't always be the 'in' thing like it is now. Do you really think Cher Lloyd will be around in 20 years time?

I doubt any of them will be remembered in twenty years time somehow :heehee:

I actually was totally blown away by Matt & Rihanna. She has developed into a pretty awesome singer over the past few years. Yes, she stole the song but he also put in a good performance and their's was easily the most likeable duet. Christina tried to make her big UK comeback but flopped horribly. Oversinging and her voice combined with Rebecca's just didn't work at all. I do find Rebecca totally adorable but she's sooooo boring and whilst she'd be a very worthy and deserving winner, I can't say I'm that fussed with her.

One Direction and Robbie was just scary. I don't mind these guys but the colour coded suits and murderous eyes of Robbie Williams creeped me the hell out.

As for Cher. She has been outstanding for me on three occasions. The rest just make me want to hit her. Glad she's gone. She showed Will.I.Am up something rotten though. Brilliant rap and vocal on WITL? Ruined by him. Two shambolic performances in as many weeks from one of the biggest superstars in the world. Ha.

The first performances were all dreadful, even if the Dido song does make me melt, Matt was off. Rebecca was boring. Even the twirling platform failed to get me engaged. One Direction were horribly out of key and chose a song far too big for them. It was clearly Cowell trying to manipulate the casual public as the song is everywhere atm. Cher's mash-up was two songs I can't stand. It was decent but still trainwreck. And whoever styled her needs to be shot.

Overall for the night:

- Round 001 -

01 Matt

02 One Direction

03 Cher

04 Rebecca

- Round 002 -

01 Matt & Rihanna

The other three I dunno. I can't decide which was more cringe worthy.

I don't mind who wins out of the final three as none of them really appeal to me and I wouldn't bother buying an album from them. I also don't get the people saying SyCo will ruin Rebecca. She strikes me as being very content with a boring soul/blues type album. That's all I can see her doing anyway, with or without Cowell. I'm not sure how much of it is down to her/Cheryl, but she's disappointed me so much. She had so much promise at the start of the live shows and in her audition but I just feel very underwhelmed as each week progresses. Still wish Aiden was in the final :(

The duets were ALL very forced. They lacked chemistry and the umph factor. Only Matt & Rihanna had chemistry, but even then, that was because Matty's stiffy was probably f***ing huge, and I mean who could blame him with what she was wearing!!!!

Robbie and 1Direc just looked like dad and his many sons doing karaoke whilst pissed out of his face...Christina and Rebecca was so awful to watch, so forced, no chemistry, Christina being a total bitch trying to out-sing Rebecca lol...then Cher. Cher's love for "rapping" has cost her winning probably. She thinks she is the dogs bollocks at it, and so does Cheryl, which is why she does these god-awful raps ALL the time when she would be much better singing and giving the OCASSIONAL rap. Her duet was a prime example of this, WITL was a brilliant performance then she goes and ruins it with someone who can't sing, and they must have given one of the cringeiest performances ever, just awful. I wholeheartedly blame Cheryl Cole.

Then for the other songs. Well Matt was head and shoulders above everyone else. Rebecca's performance was like watching paint dry, I mean they even had to have people move her on the stage because she is so lifelessly boring and dull. In One Direction's performance, one of them was not in tune LOL and then Cher, well I don't think putting two of the most awful songs in the world together in a mash-up really helped her cause.

Funniest moment of the show hands down was Cher's VT in the primary school LOL - WHY????? Definitely gave us all watching it a few jokes...

Matt at only 80% of his vocal ability because of his ongoing health problems still wiped the floor with the rest of them. If his voice is back to full strength tonight he has it in the bag.
