December 14, 201015 yr It seems that Music Week have changed the song at number 40 in the singles chart from Tinie Tempah to K*** & The Gang - Use My A***hole As A C***! Where did that come from!?!

December 15, 201015 yr The last genuine race before last year was 2003 which saw something very different (Gary Jules' Mad World) up against something gloriously daft but right for the time (The Darkness). It'll happen again one day but it might be a long wait :( The last great Christmas year. I loved reading newspaper articles on all the different contenders...and there were so many that year. Darkness, Gary Jules and Bo Selecta!
December 15, 201015 yr Didn't Cowell say once he would not challenge the Xmas no 1 next year due to x factor starting later next year so he can be on both versions, US & UK. I don't see the need to ruin Christmas with this dirge every year. I mean, the biggest seller from these shows is still Will Young and he released in March or April. I think I would detest this franchise a little less if it only ruined the charts for a couple of weeks in the spring.

But that means he has a greater chance of getting the YTD #1 Single, which is something I think is more coveted than the Xmas No. 1.
December 15, 201015 yr YES. Absolutely fantastic for Rihanna  If the facebook campaigns prevent her from getting the number 2 Christmas slot in the single I will cry! Mega pleased for the album too! It kills me to think that some awful 60s song that got used on Family Guy once actually has a chance of selling more than the Queen of Pop that is Rihanna. Anyway I'd like to see Rihanna at number one in the new year, I think Matt will hold his position for at least 2-3 weeks. You should go on their Facebook page - I went on yesterday evening and tried to explain that they were almost 100k sales behind Matt Cardle and still being outsold 5:1 on downloads, with the physical due to hit the shops tomorrow (well, today now) only serving to increase that gap, and that it probably wasn't worth wasting any more money. This was met with a torrent of (frequently personal) abuse. I then went on to explain that multiple downloading of the same version of a song from a download site will only result in one sale of that song counting for the chart, no matter how many times it was downloaded. I was met with another torrent of abuse, with the members insisting that up to 3 sales of the same version of a track from the same vendor count towards the track. :o I posted the iTunes bars and they then indicated that they were ahead on the download sites that counted (Amazon!) despite me informing them that iTunes accounts for 50%+ of the overall market. Some of their own actually did acknowledge this, at which point, the members then turned on that person!!! They're claiming Simon Cowell has ordered a media blackout on their campaign to ensure that XF regains the Xmas #1. Deluded, absolutely deluded.

Absolute lunatics, they don't deserve to be number 1. Ha I'm so going over there now to say: CONGRATULATIONS! ....YOU ARE STILL BEHIND RIHANNA! I'm sure they won't believe me but do I care?!
December 15, 201015 yr Today Westlife is still at No.12? THX Unfortunately down 3 places from yesterday to 15.

Enjoy setting the cat amongst the pigeons with the news that they’re still #3 and behind Rihanna – they were so convinced last night that in today’s update they’d have overtaken Rihanna – so I’m sure they’ll claim this set of mids are fake! Nice to see you on these boards Nicola! :)

December 15, 201015 yr I just hope they don't find their way onto Buzzjack  Oh i doubt it Mikey, they don't even believe that music week is real  For the record though all this talk of multiple downloads? They surely DON'T count do they?!
December 15, 201015 yr Oh i doubt it Mikey, they don't even believe that music week is real  For the record though all this talk of multiple downloads? They surely DON'T count do they?! Definitely, 100% not. There’s been about 50 conversations on Buzzjack over the last year on that topic. If there are 2 versions of the song, they can buy both from the same vendor and that will count as 2 sales for chart purposes. But if they purchased the same version twice that would only count as one sale for chart purposes. Britster will hopefully double confirm for sure though.
