I've posted, they'll be resorting to personal insults and stuff but I don't care. It's a cold heart fact they are behind Rihanna. Such a shame we don't have figures, they won't understand that sometimes we don't get sales and so they'll be called out as fake. They might actually be close to Rihanna but they haven't overtaken yet.

He doesn't have power but he does have influence. He can make it clear to the tabloids that, if they give a lot of coverage to the Trasaahmen campaign, they won't be fed stories from the next series of BGT / XF. That still doesn't explain why it hasn't been mentioned in other papers or on the BBC.

Yeah they might be close to Rihanna today by virtue of being #1 on Amazon, which will help a bit but nowhere near as much as they are assuming.

 

Although having said that, even combined I’m sure they’re still quite a bit off Rihanna’s bar (she also has another version just outside the top 100) on iTunes, so they’d have to have a sizeable lead on Amazon to overtake.

Its definitely been mentioned on Sky News and BBC Radio, according to the Facebook page. But not sure if its been mentioned on BBC News.

i know he has influence but not enough to cause a media blackout ive heard it mentioned on numerous radio stations and some newspapers this campaign just never got the support of last years

Let's just say, the campaign HAD to happen last year. The song was appropriate for the occasion as well. The campaigns that are ongoing, are just useless. They don't have anything to do with the cause and it's clearly just not working out. Last year the campaign against the X Factor was new. All the hype surrounding it has disappeared and there's no sign of it turning back this year.

 

Besides, I have the feeling Matt caters sceptics AND mainstream lovers more than Joe did, and the winner's song this year has some sort of musicality, which "The Climb" clearly didn't and it only fed the hype against the X Factor.
