Matt's projected total for the end of the week is now actually higher using today's sales than it was using yesterday's sales - the week/end projection has increased from 656k to 678k using Joe's sales as a comparator.

 

However, I'd still at this stage estimate Matt's week/end sales to be approx 625k, on the basis that the physical did manage to make it into shops yesterday (and will therefore be included in today's reported midweek sales tally) which will have boosted sales artifically c/w Joe's.

See that's the thing I find funniest of all. They are HOUNDING people to buy that song! They are supposed to be campaigning because they don't want people to be told what to buy. And what are they doing?! :lol: They're too stupid to see the irony in that.

The sad thing is that if everyone who signed up to the Surfin' Bird group actually downloaded a copy it would stand a very good chance of getting No. 1. Add into that the multibuying of the hardcore lot and it would practically be a cert.

 

Just goes to show that most people who sign up to 'action' groups on Facebook are just as big sheep as those who pre-ordered the X-Factor winners single before they even knew who had won!

 

In some ways I'll be glad if Matt gets it, because it won't tarnish the memory of RATMs great success last year!

I've never seen such nastiness just for pointing out a very simple fact - Trashmen are 3. They won't believe it until Greg James announces it. Even though they were told 3 times this morning and each time they ignored it.

 

I'm not going to gloat, just going to point out how simply giving them a fact can lead to such nasty abuse. Reflects very badly on them. They come off as childish in the extreme.

This is like The Saturdays battle, where fans were told to buy multiple copies and the song ended up at 3. Stupid campaign it doesn't even say a point like last years one. They just are people who think Simon Cowell is forcing people to buy his music, but actually the British Public are making a point in that Matt Cardle is a great singer and doesn't deserve all the hate he gets because he won a talent show. He worked very hard to win.

Banned? If the figures are real they should grow up and deal with it. And when I went on the page they mentioned hiding Matt's CD single, lol theyre just desperate the sales gap is huge between no.1 and no.3

no mention from the article writer that RATM were ahead for the whole week last time around, nice "selective" facts. For the amount of Facebook members on that site, their sales figures are quite dismal which probably says that people aren't bothering (because they've seen the first midweek flash) or they just "liked" it because they hope it will win but didn't have any intention of buying the single.

 

Personally I think the song is absolutely terrible if you are comparing it to a metal classic like KITN and I reckon Cardle should easily win this race by about 5 or 6:1 which is poor considering the 600k members on that page. I wonder why Mills changed his mind this year with reference to backing a single, I remember plenty on the RATM Facebook page trying to get him to play Killing In The Name but he was flat out refusing, yet he's backing this pile of rubbish against what you'd have to say is a better XF song than the one he liked last year

Scott Mill's is just bandwagoning - unfortunately for him - his a year too late!
