This song sounds like it's a pop version of "Use Sombody." It's such a rip-off production wise that it's not funny.

indeed, the wanted are one of the random 2010 sucess stories.remember when the made no1 i had never heard of them or the song, it literally came out of no-where!!

also this new single is play literally on every music channel i turn to on mtv these past 3 weeks, surprised its not no1!!

UK pop quartet McFly burst on to the chart scene with a fresh twist on the boy band formula, they played their instruments! They wrote their own material! Lead vocalist and chief songwriter Tom Fletcher originally tried out for Busted, but when he was beaten to the position by Charlie Simpson the band's management held further auditions to form a new outfit centred around him. The links between the two bands were cemented when Fletcher contributed material for Busted b-sides, and the two bands toured together in 2003. The invaluable exposure from the tour helped push McFly's debut single, "5 Colours In Her Hair" to the top of the UK singles chart where it was promptly joined by debut full length ROOM ON THE 3RD FLOOR. Follow-up effort, WONDERLAND, matched that achievement and in 2006 they moved into the movies, starring alongside Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan in the film JUST MY LUCK. - HMV

Late today as I've been travelling from Wrexham to Cardiff. Just want to mention that I'm glad at P!nk's massive climb. People say its one of her weaker songs, but in terms of quality its still miles ahead of most of the rest of the chart.

Oh actual SHOCK. McFly have been around the chart for ages.

Do ya'll guys think Rihanna will snatch the number one from Matt Cardle?

this is having ridiculous longevity, I know its in a climate where most songs climb- but it really has held up well :o

his physicals will most likely keep him ahead for this week at least

Ah Shine a Light, the moment when McFly finally gave up the pretence that they are a 'real' group and just admitted (via song) that they're nothing but a glorified boyband.

thought this may have went top 10 with all the radio 1 airplay and its turn around on itunes during xmas week but its stalled again, great tune.my first no1 of the year in my personal chart!!

The other week they were 24 and climbed to 21

McFly in climbing the chart twice shocker!

Mcfly back inside the 20 and at 17  :yahoo: :cheer:

They were #20 last week - there was an error in the published chart, 'Heroes' should have actually been #22 so N-Dubz, JLS, McFly and Jessie J were all bumped up a place

I bought "Cooler than Me" with my Christmas iTunes voucher, which in hindsight wasn't a good decision given that it was because of the awesome final 30 seconds of the song, with the dual synth solo. In my defense though, I was incredibly drunk.
