Posted January 3, 201115 yr Rihanna and Plan B lead charts race 11:31 | Wednesday January 5, 2011 Source: MW By Ben Cardew Singles Meanwhile on singles, Rihanna featuring Drake’s What’s My Name(Def Jam) looks likely to continue its steady climb to the top of the charts, after a couple of weeks at two behind Matt Cardle’s When We Collide (Syco). However, it could be a close run thing: What’s My Name currently has a lead of only around 1,000 copies over When We Collide. As with albums, there are few new releases at this time of the year, although Nero’s Me And You (MTA) and White Lies’ Bigger Than Us (Fiction) should both debut in the top 40. Albums The January sales are set to send a number of 2010 albums climbing back up the charts, while Rihanna’s What’s My Name could finally be on its way to number one in the singles rundown. Plan B’s The Defamation of Strickland Banks (679 / Atlantic), which climbed sharply last week after being discounted to as little as £3, currently has the edge on the albums chart, ahead of Rihanna’s fifth album Loud. In a week of few new album releases, Cee-Lo Green’s The Lady Killer (Warner Bros) looks set to climb back into the top ten, as should Rumer’s Atlantic album Seasons Of My Soul and Eliza Doolittle’s eponymous debut (Parlophone). ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 Rihanna/Drake (1k ahead) 2 Matt Cardle 3 Black Eyed Peas 4 Ellie Goulding 5 Katy Perry Top 10 7 Katy B/Ms Dynamite Cee Lo Green 9 David Guetta/Rihanna Top 15 Tinie Tempah 15 Jesse J Top 20 Nero 18 Cheryl Cole Alexis Jordan Top 30 Adele Nicole Scherzinger Cee Lo Green [it's OK] Usher Top 40 White Lies Martin Solveig/Dragonette Eliza Doolittle [Pack Up] Prof. Green/Maverick ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Plan B 2 Rihanna 3 Take That 4 Cee Lo Green 5 Tinie Tempah Top 10 Rumer 9 Eliza Doolittle Top 15 Alfie Boe Top 30 JLS Adele Andre Rieu Florence + The Machine James Blunt Top 40 Kings Of Leon Arcade Fire Paolo Nutini 37 Rihanna [Rated R] Prof. Green NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles Rihanna [OG] 3+3 Willow 5+6 TT 5+7 Olly 5+8 Wanted 12+10 Pink 12+11 Em & Riri 15+12 JLS 20+10 Albums Ellie 5+5 KP 5+6 Wanted 7+5 Gaga 7+6 Pink 10+7 Robbie 10+8 Olly 10+9 JLS [OTW] 12+12 BEPs 13+13 Pixie 20+8 Cheryl 20+10 TT [NF] 20+15

January 4, 201115 yr Author PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING [01] Any member that is caught spamming, or trying to cause an argument to get a reaction will be severely warned with a ban for 7 days from posting on the forum. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.
January 4, 201115 yr So....no sales info or even a midweek this week? That will be back to normal next week though, won't it?
January 4, 201115 yr Don't be surprised if Sex On Fire is randomly back in the top 40 in the first mids, it was as #50 and #141 on iTunes yesterday (currently #56 and #161)
January 4, 201115 yr Author So....no sales info or even a midweek this week? That will be back to normal next week though, won't it? Edit... we now have sales reports :cheer: please see the sales topic for information, Let's hope we get some mids now.
January 4, 201115 yr Author Nothing has been updated on the charts and data section of the site, not even this week's official top 40 Singles, Albums and other charts. Maybe the person that usually sorts out the lot is still on hols :nocheer: They have a lot of catching up to do. I've got a funny feeling we are not getting an update until tomorrow, as MW are a day behind. Please be patient, we still could get an update of some sorts between 12:30pm to 4pm.
January 4, 201115 yr New year, new format... Potential No.1: Rihanna/Drake 'What's My Name' BTW, I see Ri was #1 on the download chart last week, so it was only Matt's physical sales that saved him then - this week they're likely to be even less of a help.
January 4, 201115 yr Author Judging by the iTunes thread topic, the top 5 singles could look like this 1 Rihanna/Drake 2 Matt Cardle ?? (includes physicals) 3 Black Eyed Peas 4 Ellie Goulding 5 Katy Perry/Katy B/FEM THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL TOP 5, ITS JUST A GUIDE USING iTUNES.
January 4, 201115 yr I reckon Top 5 will look like this by Sunday: 1- Rihanna & Drake 2- Matt Cardle 3- Black Eyed Peas 4- Ellie Goulding 5- Far East Movement
January 4, 201115 yr TBH Rihanna is not *that* far ahead on iTunes, I can see Matt being #1 again... I hope RiRi gets to #1 though, as that'll continue her tradition of getting one #1 each year (since 2007). Edited January 4, 201115 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★
January 4, 201115 yr Author If Matt is #1 this Sunday, Lily Allen was the last act that has spent 4 weeks at #1 (March 2009). I'd rather see Rihanna at #1, time for a change, 3 weeks is too long for Matt, mind you 4 weeks would be nice to bridge the gap since March 2009.
January 4, 201115 yr Singles chart is so boring. I'd love to have big debuts by Nero and White Lies in Top 10.
January 4, 201115 yr Yeah for Martin Solveig & Dragonette up to 36 on iTunes :-) I'm proper surprised.
January 4, 201115 yr I think Rihanna going to no.1 would be boring. So predictable and tbf, I think the song is boring too. *ducks for cover*
January 4, 201115 yr I think Rihanna going to no.1 would be boring. So predictable and tbf, I think the song is boring too. *ducks for cover* As opposed to Matt staying at number one- which would be even more predictable?
January 4, 201115 yr Rihanna number one this week before Glee takes over the charts the week after. She might even do a double, not sure who will get the first brand new (as in new release) number one album of 2011, maybe White Lies or Bruno Mars
