I'm very disappointed with who Avril's been handled so far. The record companies need to learn that the UK is not like the US.

I didn't even know Avril got released! Should have put a banner up. I think Adele could go #2. Her pop bars seem to be increasing and she has two versions - #2 & 95 on itunes. Plus I'm sure she is doing well on other digital outlets!. I wish Adele would get the #1 spot but I doubt it. Hopefully Brit will get to #3 with Adele #2 and Bruno #1 ^^

Bruno might have the advantage of cherry picking from his album... so maybe Just the way you are will climb in the charts again.

I actually remember something similar happening with Leona's Forgive Me - released on a Monday in a very competitive week (e.g. Britney's "3" also out that week, as was Beyonce's IIWAB). I'm sure the release date for that was changed at some point, and the only reason I can think of is that Leona's "FM" was "sabotaged" peak position wise to ensure a higher peak for Britney/Beyonce, as the label deemed that to be more important/crucial for them as opposed to Leona.

Leona and Beyoyo were released around the same time as 'Womanizer', not '3' :P

 

I honestly don't believe Britney will "cause iTunes to crash" tonight. It didn't crash on iTunes anywhere else when it was released, only blogs and forums and articles about the song crashed online thanks to everyone wanting to check it out and it's been absolutely huge... I think some guys need to stop setting themselves up for a major disappointment when Britney doesn't get to number 1/doesn't get there as fast as they hope.

I really don't think much of the Britney song! ...just saying! ;)

I hope Bruno keeps Adele and Britney off the top because his song is better :wub:

WOAH. Didn't realise 'Like U Like' would be THAT high up :mellow: How awful. I liked it for all of, 3 listens. Then it started to sound really weak and too generic, even for me!

It hasn't entered, infact it's falling. All the album tracks have been around the #200 mark since 'Loud' was released.

Don't you think it'll be better if the subtittle of the thread was indicating the position of the main new releases (Adele, Aggro Santos and Wretch 32, and others if possible) instead of Bruno Mars and Jessie J who are not going to climb anymore...

Rihanna's entire album has been in the top 300 on and off for weeks now. :D Tracks seem to just fall and climb randomly, but she usually has 3 or 4 album tracks up there. And then there's S&M which is freakishly high. :lol:

At least Christina got a #12 single & a #1 album with her comeback. Avril looks as if she will get no where near those peaks with her comeback :lol:
