Also forgot to say pleased Avril is FINALLY top 30 (#30!) Needs to be higher though :drama: Hopefully it's a bit like Jessie J and is released to impact the fanbase buyers first before the casual music listeners get roped in with more airplay etc... etc...

I don't think Adele will be #1 on Sunday. She is front-loaded and will start falling soon. She's destined for another #2. Britney will fall soon too, as well as Aggro. Not sure about Wretch 32...

If Britney's sales fall, that'll only be temporary, until the video arrives & the airplay builds up.

Isn't Avril doing fine? I was under the impression this is the norm with new singles if all they have to promote them is minimal radio play? It's the same with Britney who is doing exceptionally well with the circumstance of it's release...

Also since no one will answer in the Sunday chart thread.

How much do these download sites have a final play on the chart?

UK Digital stores - Hold It Against Me:

#1 HMV Digital

#2 Play.com

#3 Amazon.com

Adele is getting closer to Bruno. She could extend her lead as #1.

I think iTunes is 70%-80% of the official chart. The other 20%-30% is other download sites (with about 1%-5% physical sales )

Well good to know she is top 4 on all downloading sites. :D

Hopefully soon all top 3 with itunes moving up!

If Adele can get to #1 she should hopefully benefit from the #1 boost and extend her lead, but i'm not sure she will. Grenade is still so popular so I can see it being #1 come Sunday, and Bruno doing the double. It'll be the 2nd time this year already with Rihanna doing the same a few weeks back.

A week ago there was a Musicweek article saying more than 98% of the chart are on downloads, and less than 2% are only physical sales.

Amazon has Bruno Mars quite cheap at 69p Im surprised they haven't shoved the price up, As usually happens when songs get popular.

So pleased for Britney. I do hope she gets to number 1. A lot of people in school didn't even know she had a new song, Never mind she was released. Positive sign for the singles longevity in the charts :)

wow such an exciting week.cant believe adele is no1 in the mids!! itunes share of the chart must be smaller than before, which is a good thing imo.

the top 2 could be on for 100k plus this week, 50k for the whole top 5 and 30k for the top 10 - would be class.

anyone else not think diddy is the biggest shock, thought it would just sneak top 10 but its battling it out with all the big new releasese like adele, britney and bruno mars!!

Even though I prefer Grenade, I'd much rather see 'Rolling In The Deep' top for at least one week, it'd be great for Adele to get her first #1 and be the first British #1 of the year, plus its a different to what we usually have in the charts.

Adele's probably got big physicals so I don't think iTunes is drastically losing it's share of the market. Diddy is doing better than I thought he would, top 3 instead of top 5, but the biggest surprise for me is Jodie Connor, no hype around it and not a particularly great song to get this high on a busy week is quite something! :o

really like Coming Home, glad its doing well! ^_^ it sounds a bit like Never Leave You actually :o

Jodie Connor is quite a surprise actually to be as high as 12, I thought that was destined to flop :o

The Top 10 really is having a big clearout this week :o

& I've still not heard Adele's new song.. I'll have to watch her performance on Alan Carr later on.

Really surprised at how well Coming Home is doing considering the slow start. I was expecting low Top 10.. & Wretch 32/Aggro are doing as well as I thought they'd do

I think I'm probably the only one that doesn't think Britneys song is amazing at the moment. It will probably be a grower for me and I do like it.. but she's had much better

would have been top last week or even topo5, but she held it back!!

Never Leave You is my 2nd favourite song from 2009, Live Your Life is my favourite song from 2008, and Airplanes is my favourite song from 2010, so, understandably, I really like Coming Home!

With multiple versions :) Adele seems to be increasing. Bruno's lead isn't that big now on itunes ^^
