It's called the case of "diminishing returns" where every single released from the album does worse than the last... it actually did well to get into the top 40. Many other British acts don't manage that on the 4th single from an album. LOL, tell that to the artists who don't have top 40 "hits" after 3 releases? It depends on your idea of a flop or hit but I don't really feel a 31-40 peak is a hit.
