These early releases are never going to be as big as they are elsewhere in the world (having said that The Time (Dirty Bit) did around the same as the US here)

This reminds me very much of 'Love Drunk' by Boys Like Girls which was top 40 on iTunes for a few weeks but only peaked at #44 officially. Its chart run also started 48-44, which exactly mimics Animal apart from being one place lower in its second week.
