Brilliant to see Britney only drop 5 places or so! :D Hopefully she doesn't fall too much more...
Ladbrokes don't seem to think Foo Fighters will make number one. They are offering odds of 1-6 for Adele to break the record run at number one for an album in its first weeks in the chart. That record is currently held by Bob Marley's Legend which spent its first 12 weeks at number one (as pointed out by zeuss in my commentary thread). To beat that record she has to be number one in the week Foo Fighters release their album.
How many copies has Adele sold of 21 so far?

See the YTD album sales thread...

meh, dull week - all the re-entries and climbing by older songs was expected, J-Lo has it this week, but I think LMFAO could overtake next week if they get to number 1 on itunes

19 will obviously go back to number 2  I think whether or not Foo Fighters can get number 1 depends on how sharply 21's sales fall, if its over 100k decrease, then I think they have a chance- I'll be gobsmacked if Adele sells over 170k again, their a big album act so they'll definitely challege, I hope they do, we need change :P

Hopefully Britney will climb back.

Folks- You can predict the Top10 Qualifers and the Top10 finishers for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Just click on 'Sports Forum' and look for 'F1 Predictor Round 1, Malaysia'

I forgot to do it for Australia because I wasn't sure if anyone was going to do something similar.

No offence to Foo Fighters but I'd like to see Adele on top of them (no, not in that way, but in the charts). I'd like Adele to get as many consecutive weeks as possible instead of a week or 2 break from Foo Fighters before climbing back to number one, which it'll probably do.

And the TTWE video will not have a huge effect on Britney, we all know what happened to HIAM

Adele looking like only GaGa can stop her. Can anybody?

Are any serious contenders to the album crown in the next few weeks?

Great to see Jennifer Lopez at the number-one spot, trailed by a good-looking top 5; although wasn't expecting Katy Perry's 'E.T.' to do so well - wonder if it'll get number 4 or whether it'll drop to number 6/7 by Sunday. Odd that Jessie J remains in the top 10 above Rihanna, who's significantly higher on iTunes.

As for the top 20 - Kanye West and Cee Lo Green = Great

Top 30 - Martin Solveig = Yay! Feels like its charting all over again, and am starting to enjoy it once more.

Great to see Chris Brown in the top 40, although I'd hoped 'Look at Me Now' would peak in the lower top 40 too - perhaps in the next few weeks. Jodie Connor is surely looking at top 40 with 'Bring It' and the entries from Glee cast: 'Baby' and 'SING' should hopefully get Adele and Bruno Mars out - I want to shot myself when I hear those respective songs.

I see your point, but to deny the Foos completely for the sake of a 12th week at #1 when both album have gotten virtually identical critical receptions is a little mad. She won't be above 150k this week, so any reasonable drop next week should see them get at least a week - maybe two if she tails off to 80k.

Reading this thread would give you the answer to that question :P

Great for Katy's B and Perry  Hope OAM manages to stay top 3 and ET keeps climbing! Happy for J-Lo and LMFAO too!

Aye, the bookies really know what they're talking about when it comes to the charts, they made a killing on RATM...:P

The Foo's are currently No. 3 on Amazon's overall chart based on pre-orders alone, behind 21 and 19. Add into that non pre-order sales, Adele tailing off, the great critical and fan reception of Foo Fighters album (some calling it their best ever), and the fact that Amazon will probably do a Take That/Iron Maiden deal and sell their album digitally for £3 on one day only, and I think they're the favourites to knock her off the top spot.

37k seems a bit low for 21 so far, then again it seemed low at the start of last week... but then again again that was Mother's Day weekend so it was guaranteed a big rise at the end of the week.

Should just about make an 11th week over 100k but is this the end for her run at #1 (at least for now)? I think Foo Fighters are definitely in with a shot at #1 next week if they can even sell 100k which they should by all means be able to. Although The Strokes' utter failure casts a bit of doubt on that... we shall see anyway. Katy B only has a 3k lead at #2 so Adele will probably have the top 2 for a fifth week.

Bruno and Cee Lo re-entering the top 40 are pretty much just by default as Glee and Peter Kay were always going to fall out this week and something had to replace them. Surprised to see Chris & Benny in there instead of Enrique though :o

And I see Make You Feel My Love is climbing AGAIN  As are OG(ITW) and Firework. I suspect we'll see loads of climbs and re-entries from older songs lower in the top 100 too because there's just nothing of note that's new... only 4 new Glee songs and T-Pain & Chris Brown.

I imaginge Adele will manage one more week over 100k, before dropping below the week after. I am not sure she will lose number 1 though, we will have to wait and see. Should be interesting next week.
So pleased that Britney has not plummeted as expected - Hopefully can stay in the Top 15
Adele's sales do look low however my local Morrisons and Tesco still have no stock of either 19 or 21 so when they do get more stock in ready for all the weekend shoppers sales should pick up! I guess her sales last week took suppliers and shops by suprise!

SO happy for J-LO. Absolutely LOVE 'On The Floor', glad it'll be number one for more than just one week.

Made up for Katy too.
