April 24, 201115 yr what did marina say??? I think she went on a rant because she thought her singles and album haven't done fantastically well and then criticsed the British public for not having a good taste in music. (Or along those lines anyway)
April 24, 201115 yr This is probably my favourite top 2 in a long while. I was dreading hearing 'Unorthodox' after reading it sampled 'Fools Gold' but it's actually quite good. And after hearing 'Party Rock Anthem' a ridiculous amount of times last weekend it's grown on me quite a lot.
April 24, 201115 yr what did marina say??? In an interview she was going on about how the public are too stupid to connect with her really deep lyrics, and she was moaning about how dance-pop, electro-hop, suddenly got a surge of populartiy around 2009 time, and how it's so difficult for her to break the mainstream as a result. It was really annoying, because the way she was saying it, it made me feel like I was "wrong" to like the music that I do, and that I was "too stupid to connect to her lyrics" if I didn't like her songs (which I do).
April 24, 201115 yr Author Having finally heard the Chris Brown song today, I'm 99% certain it will be #1 in the next couple of weeks.
April 24, 201115 yr This song is trash, it's not even that catchy. Usually I can guess why people like songs that I don't like that are doing well (Buzzin, Sweat and Bruno Mars currently) but I really don't see the appeal at all. Hopefully it'll fall out fast.
April 24, 201115 yr Before the chart week, I was expecting this to peak at number 7 at best, possibly following Katy B's steps by having the second single reach number 4 - so I am very much impressed with it reaching number 2. It's not the best song admittedly and I prefer the dance aspect of 'Traktor' better, but as a chilled out Summer-inspired single, 'Unorthodox' is a great addition to the chart; let's just hope it sticks around in the top 10 for a while.
April 24, 201115 yr LMFAO's lead is so big, that Chris Brown will have to climb massively to beat them next week. Although the week after it could happen.
April 24, 201115 yr He's always slagging off other people in the music business, that's what I like about it and probably why he's quite popular - everyone loves an outspoken musician. It's not like he's not justified though, Lopez is talentless - although 'On the Floor' is a good song and as long as Example's making good music; he can say what he wants. No she isn't. She is a really good singer and damn fine (underrated) acteress. On The Floor doesn't show off her voice as well as other ones do, in particular the ones on her Spanish album. [/loon] :kink:
April 24, 201115 yr I think Chris Brown will get it eventually unfortunately, not this week, but the week after
April 24, 201115 yr Love 'Party Rock Anthem', normally hate these kind of songs but it's grown on me so much lately. Perfect feel-good summer party anthem .
April 24, 201115 yr LMFAO vs Chris Brown next week then! LMFAO will get it this week, the week after I think Chris could challenge, but it will still be close.

April 24, 201115 yr I think Chris Brown will get it eventually unfortunately, not this week, but the week after Chris has only one version out, so when there's more then one version when the song is released next week and not just the album version, it could get number 1 combined depending on how high it still is on itunes. April 24, 201115 yr (18) Beyonce-Run THe World sounds like this is a bad lead-off single for Beyonce for her upcoming album

Yes, songs like On the Floor will definitely be remembered. Maybe not by older people, but by the people who are teenagers now, most definitely.
