Pleasing @Birdy remaining on A-list and Alexandra making the C-list

Wow, they're finally not ignoring Alexandra :kink: :kink: :kink:

Still no Wynter! :drama: I'd say that if it had gradual airplay it EASILY would've been a number 1, but now that R1 are ignoring it she'll have to wait. Hopefully R1 add it when it gains momentum (ie the next week or two - she's climbing with little airplay on iTunes!!)
Oh, I'm pleased for Alexandra, J-Lo and of course Gaga as well - their sucsess is great, just a shame they're snubbing one of the most obvious potential smashes of the year!
I'm more dissapointed than anything that theres no sign of Clare Maguire still. I know 'Last Dance' didnt set the charts on fire and things have gone quite pear-shaped for her campaign, but I did think Radio 1 would support this single at least before abandoning. Though I suppose there was always the likelyhood she'd be seen as more of a Radio 2 artist unfortunetly.
It's quite rare when they add a pop-artist straight to the B-list, I remember only GaGa doing it this year (twice), 'On the Floor' success surely encouraged them.

I can only think of one more and that was a couple of years ago... Rihanna with Russian Roulette.

I like the Ellie song, but let's face it, if Lights can't do it, this won't... Excited for Example and Katy B :D

I'm surprised they didnt add Wynter Gordon, huge hit waiting to happen.

The song is so old now its nearly a year old. It wont do much in the charts

Why is Minaj off the playlist, the video for it hasn't even been released yet hasn't it?
Well the video for 'Super Bass' is being released at some point today/this week. So I think they've decided to scrap GFLD for a bit (at least until the video premieres/if there is going to be a video - apparently she wants most - if not all - the stars she name checks in the song, to cameo in it) Hopefully this time next week we see 'Super Bass' on the playlist

Fantastic for Olly Murs and J Lo! (Particularly J Lo! :o - Straight to B!)

Oh and that 'Mr Saxobeat' is absolutely foul! :puke:

Dancing with Alexandra Stan

On the other hand, the bast*rds are still ignoring Blue. <_<

:cheer: Was really worrying that R1 would ignore Alexandra Stan. I'm glad it looks like it could be a hit. I bought the song yesterday which will probably help it get a Top 200 SMASH! Great to see Example finally being added, hopefully this will peak at one or two as I don't want Unorthodox to be his biggest hit peak-wise.

Also great that they're supporting Alex Metric & Steve Angello. I heard it on R1 today and it's grown on me and hopefully it can SMASH in the top 40. For those who don't know, Steve is part of Swedish House Mafia, which maybe is why OYE is such a good song

Thats so weird with Ellie, I do actually think it stands a better chance than lights as it has a much more catchy chorus to it, I can imagine everyone going 'this love is be and end all' all day, BUTTTTTT

HUMAN IS SAT THERE AND IS THE MOST OBVIOUS SINGLE of the rerlease.

Oh well.

7 singles off an album though... woah.

Go check the I-Tunes thread... its a year old for the very few peoplewho actually heard it last year. For the vast majority, its brand new.

It's rarer these days but it was a more common thing 10 years ago and earlier. Straight to the A-list is a lot more rarer, only mega stars like Madonna and Kylie have achieved that.

Didnt ellie goulding do it with your song? or did she go straight to B list? I remember being really suprised because no one had ever heard it and it got playlisted A or B instead of C...

What happened to The Script releasing 'If You Ever Come Back'?
Did Radio 1 ever playlist My Time.

No. The last Eurovision entry I'm certain that they would have playlisted was Gina G back in 1996, although I wouldn't be at all surprised if Precious' Say It Again was playlisted in 1999, that acted more like a normal chart hit than most Eurovision entries, I know I bought it on single on its release week (so must have been aware of it) and didn't follow the contest at the time, nor did I know that it was our entry - I just loved the song! It must have been a sign

Glad Example has been added, hopefully CTWYKM will be huge!

I guess they won't be playlisting The Feeling then...
