Posted May 14, 201114 yr HELLO. The moment we've been building up to since early DECEMBER when those of us hardcore loons started getting on board with the likes of the SWISS national final (although realistically most of you hos didn't start paying attention until Sanna Nielsen dropped her latest max track in mid-February) is FINALLY UPON US. So, before we realise how DEPRESSED we'll be tomorrow morning when it's all over for another year, let's review what we have before us. 01 Finland: Paradise Oskar - Da Da Dam 02 Bosnia-Herzegovina: Dino Merlin - Love In Rewind 03 Denmark: A Friend In London - New Tomorrow 04 Lithuania: Evelina Sasenko - C'est Ma Vie 05 Hungary: Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams? 06 Ireland: Jedward - Lipstick 07 Sweden: Eric Saade - Popular 08 Estonia: Getter Jaani - Rockefeller Street 09 Greece: Loucas Yiorkas; Stereo Mike - Watch My Dance 10 Russia: Alex Sparrow - Get You 11 France: Amaury Vassili - Sognu 12 Italy: Raphael Gualazzi - The Madness of Love 13 Switzerland: Anna Rossinelli - In Love For A While 14 United Kingdom: Blue - I Can 15 Moldova: Zsob si Zdub - So Lucky 16 Germany: Lena - Taken By A Stranger 17 Romania: Hotel FM - Change 18 Austria: Nadine Beiler - The Secret Is Love 19 Azerbaijan: Ell & Nikki - Running Scared 20 Slovenia: Maja Keuc - No One 21 Iceland: Sigurjon's Friends - Coming Home 22 Spain: Lucia Perez - Que Me Quiten Lo Bailao 23 Ukraine: Mika Newton - Angel 24 Serbia: Nina - Caroban 25 Georgia: Eldrine - One More Day COMPULSORY MINUTE'S SILENCE 4 DANA INTERNATIONAL, Germany's latest transgender Jew fatality :( Anyway, throw us your predictions, tell us what you're doing for the night, which are your FAVEZ, what you think will fail, succeed etc., and if you haven't already vote in the BUZZJACK EUROVISION FINAL which is open until 3:30pm (BST) and needs your votes. HAPPY EUROVISIONING *.*
May 14, 201114 yr TBH, it's not over the day after for me personally, because I only download all the songs after the final, so there's new music to be played for a good long time. But REALLY looking forward to tonight. I've decided Blue are my 2nd favourite song now, but I'll be supporting them for the win nonetheless.
May 14, 201114 yr COMPULSORY MINUTE'S SILENCE 4 DANA INTERNATIONAL, Germany's latest transgender Jew fatality :( It's probably my favourite song of the whole contest! I was in awe of her performance in SF2; it felt like the queen of Eurovision was home. And her vocals weren't as bad as people are saying on here. And I still can't believe she didn't make it through when Moldova did! :drama: Well actually Moldova have grown on me quite alot and I really like them in a novelty way, I'll definitely be looking forward to their performance and hopefully they can beat the bland-fests that are Finland, Switzerland and Iceland! SO EXCITED :cheer:
May 14, 201114 yr Eric Saade is easily my favourite, but I'll be supporting Blue.. Although, I don't think either of them will win. France will probably trounce both & I'm really hoping that Jedward do not finish in the Top 3/5 (or basically higher than Blue/Eric)
May 14, 201114 yr I am obviously supporting Sweden for an Eric Saade victory. But I shall be sat at home with my giant German flag during the contest, as I adore Taken By A Stranger and I don't have a Swedish one
May 14, 201114 yr I am obviously supporting Sweden for an Eric Saade victory. But I shall be sat at home with my giant German flag during the contest, as I adore Taken By A Stranger and I don't have a Swedish one  I'll be supporting the UK, unlike last year :cheer: Hoping Austria and Sweden get the results they deserve too, and that the Frederik Kempe curse doesn't come back to haunt the latter. As much as I don't want to see Jedward top ten, they're pretty much one of the most popular acts from this contest around Europe already and I can't see them missing it - please don't let them be top three though, I can handle 4th-10th, just about!
May 14, 201114 yr Author I simply can't see past a French victory. But make them work for it please Blue.
May 14, 201114 yr I simply can't see past a French victory. But make them work for it please Blue. Me neither, but I've been of this opinion for months so it won't surprise me. More to the point, it won't disappoint me - it's teetering between being my 3rd/4th favourite entry this year :D
May 14, 201114 yr Author I'm going to call Austria as this year's Shine. Lower top ten, if not top five :o
May 14, 201114 yr I'm going to call Austria as this year's Shine. Lower top ten, if not top five :o Yes please, I'll be voting for Austria. As usual my votes will go to; 1. My favourite song (Austria) 2. My favourite performance (don't know yet) 3. My favourite vocal (Austria will probably get that too based on the semi, but there could be an opening for France, again don't know yet) I need to fit Sweden in with a vote as well, possibly under performance or just as an extra.
May 14, 201114 yr I am praying Jedward don't go too high (though sadly the song has grown on me), the only thing I keep thinking is surely they won't be top 5, simply because I just can't see the juries going for it? Despite me thinking that France will get it, its still quite wide open IMO and any number of countries could end up top 5 which is making it very exciting!
May 14, 201114 yr Come on UK, Estonia and Austria - my top 3 favourites! :D As I can't vote for the UK, I'll be voting for Estonia and maybe Austria too. :)
May 14, 201114 yr The songs I'm rooting for tonight are my sig, I also like Azerbaijan.....but didn't want to mess up the balance by adding another. :P
May 14, 201114 yr 01 Finland: Paradise Oskar - Da Da Dam 02 Bosnia-Herzegovina: Dino Merlin - Love In Rewind 03 Denmark: A Friend In London - New Tomorrow 04 Lithuania: Evelina Sasenko - C'est Ma Vie 05 Hungary: Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams? 06 Ireland: Jedward - Lipstick 07 Sweden: Eric Saade - Popular 08 Estonia: Getter Jaani - Rockefeller Street Could be the strongest start in the history of the contest... And it all goes a bit downhill after this. Bosnia to win!
May 14, 201114 yr I'd like to think Blue are in with a chance of at least equalling Jade's top 5... is 14th a good performing position?[/Eurovision idiot]
May 14, 201114 yr I guess I'll have to watch this. When's it on? Haven't heard any of the songs except I Can (as I'm not a EUROLOON). Hopefully the songs won't be as bad as last year (unpopular opinion? I only really liked Drip Drop and Allez Ola Olé out of the whole thing. The Irish song was alright too I guess) Edited May 14, 201114 yr by Bray
