She may have top 10 hits, but these new singles are weak and will fall out soon.

They're only promo singles though so its just a bonus that they've gone top 10. ^_^

I agree, but I think even her first ones were weaker than now. The first 4 on the list have the same instrumentals as each other to me. And even the others after that aren't that different. :(

Why is my all time favourite Beyonce song back in top 100 at #94 - HALO?

Britains Got Talent, was used in the background. And I agree, for me also, its her best song to date

I was never a massive fan of Halo, although I do really like Beyonce in general. I preferred Halo/Walking On Sunshine tbh. Halo does get used a lot on Britain's Got Talent, etc. It is like the perfect song for that really. :lol

My favourite from Beyonce's previous album must've been Single Ladies, or maybe Video Phone (the video is WOW!!!!).

Never heard it before  And I was born 14 years ago!

gosh thought everyone had heard that song, was massive

if you check out the chart retros o tomorrows buzzjack chart thread it is in the top 10 from this week in 1996 i think.classic piece of hip hop.dont think he had any other hits after that though?!

The BEP have really gone downhill IMO. Haven't really liked any of their new stuff. The E.N.D album was OK, but it was nowhere near as good as the Elephunk days and The Beginning is nowhere near as good as The E.N.D, I would honestly go as far to say its pretty awful. For me the rates go like:

The Time - 0/10 - Possibly my least favourite song EVER

Just Can't Get Enough - 6/10

Don't Stop The Party - 4/10

Such a shame as most of their earlier singles were at least 8+, my favourites being DPWMH, Hey Mama and Don't Lie. I really wish that BEP would make a re-apperance. At least with The E.N.D, they had two not bad singles, BBP which was a 7 and MMH which was an 8 for me, but the only one that is remotley listenable of the new stuff is JCGE and thats only bearable.

im the opposite, although nothing will top the last album which will always be their biggest, started by detesting the time cos of its lazy sample to loving JCGE and i downloaded the new track as it was fairly instant when i heard it and im heading on holidays soon and i gaurantee i will be dancing to it then - basically it puts me in the summery mood!!

Just Can't Get Enough is actually the first BEP single that doesn't use sampling of any sort since 2003!!! :o

but the time is a song known by soo many people(pop classic) its too obvious and therefore in my book very lazy!!

Can anyone confirm why the AMAZING Hard Times by Plan B, Elton John etc is 51? I ADORE the Plan B version

thank you

The Saturdays is ready to download. im intrigued now to see where it will be this time tomorrow

Yeah. Most of the samples they use are either of not well-known songs or so subtle that you don't notice them unelss they're pointed out, or you play them side-by-side.

In The Time one of the instruments that plays during the verses is apparently sampled from deadmau5's remix of You & I by Medina. There's a video on youtube where deadmau5 shows that he's got the sound from the verses of The Time programmed into his keyboard already, and on his Facebook page he's put the waves of each of the sounds on there, and they're exactly the same for both songs, I think. Which means it was probably sampled from it, as it's extremely unlikely that they'd both come up with exactly the same instrument like that.

The Time also sounds like Can't Get You Out of My Head by Kylie Minogue and 3 Words by Cheryl Col to me.

All this said, I do actually really like the song.

is that a new plan b track??

Paloma and Elton are only on the 'single' version. :) The album version is just Plan B.

It's a fantastic song.

The Saturdays have gone in at #22 in Ireland be interesting to see where they debut here hopefully top 20 and will climb to #1 at least on Itunes anyway.
Just purchased Notorious. :) Hoping for top 20 next week, and hopefully a rapid climb to #1 after that once airplay and promotion kicks in.
