May 22, 201115 yr How can this still be selling so much? I think this could manage to make 1,200,000 by the end of the year. QUEEN ADELE
May 22, 201115 yr Author Over the last 26 weeks (6 MONTHS) there have been just 5 UK #1 albums: Take That, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Adele and Foo Fighters :o
May 22, 201115 yr Katy would have been #1 even if it was just sales, though. She sold 300k in a week four times. Yeah. Infact, Born This Way beat E.T. to #1 for 2 weeks BECAUSE of airplay.
May 22, 201115 yr Top 40 Albums http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/albums Friendly Fires #6  I KNEW there was a reason I was annoyed to hear Bruno Mars being #5. Forgot about Friendly Fires' album. This is so annoying :(

May 22, 201115 yr Adele's last week at #1 for a short while then? Its GaGa's turn next week. I can see Gaga at least getting 4 to 5 weeks if not more. I can't see Adele returning to the top for a while to be honest.

May 22, 201115 yr BTW  Hopefully this'll stay Top 20 next week, album cherrypicking should help. WOW for 'The Fame'. 123 Weeks on the Chart. :D
May 22, 201115 yr I can see Gaga at least getting 4 to 5 weeks if not more. I can't see Adele returning to the top for a while to be honest. I think the Arctic Monkeys could get it two weeks after Gaga, unless they really disappoint, probably followed by Gaga or Adele again darn, just realised it just misses four songs top 15 for Gaga :( oh well, still impressive nonetheless Edited May 22, 201115 yr by chart wizard
May 22, 201115 yr Katy would have been #1 even if it was just sales, though. She sold 300k in a week four times. how does the sales/airplay tally work then?surely a song selling 30k for 3 weeks in a row would be n1 because its sales will have overtaken the fact it doesnt get played as much, and surely by the 2nd week radio would jump on the track since its sold so much?????
May 22, 201115 yr Over the last 26 weeks (6 MONTHS) there have been just 5 UK #1 albums: Take That, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Adele and Foo Fighters :o And we all know who's taken up 16 of those weeks!
May 22, 201115 yr I think the Arctic Monkeys could get it two weeks after Gaga, unless they really disappoint, probably followed by Gaga or Adele again darn, just realised it just misses four songs top 15 for Gaga :( oh well, still impressive nonetheless Forgot about Arctic Monkeys, although i think Gaga is back in the UK for promo in a couple of weeks (sometime in June), so should help a bit
