I think the Arctic Monkeys could get it two weeks after Gaga, unless they really disappoint, probably followed by Gaga or Adele again

I think they will really disappoint though...there's no hype about the album at all.

The single only had one week top 40 before ridiculously dropping and there just isn't really any buzz around the release. It leaked this week and I'd usually consider myself a huge fan of them but I've so far only listened to it once and I'm not that bothered about listening to it again. Such a shame. :(

I really like Born This Way now, still one of the weaker songs on the album, but still pretty great. I can't believe it is still growing on me, but thats probably because I had my hopes so high and was disappointed so didn't really listen to it but have been converted into a massive Gaga fan once again after Judas.

Mr Saxobeat and Sun Is Up in the top 15, European Euro-Pop/Dance is taking over.

Forgot about Arctic Monkeys, although i think Gaga is back in the UK for promo in a couple of weeks (sometime in June), so should help a bit

No she isn't.

Sun Is Up is decent-ish on first listen. At least it doesn't sound like Hot.

The superior Romanian female is ahead :w00t:

Thank FUCK for that. It's nearly summer :yahoo: Why can't it be like this all year round?

As for BTW, GUTTED it's not top 15 :( But 4 in the top 20 is GOOD.

how does the sales/airplay tally work then?surely a song selling 30k for 3 weeks in a row would be n1 because its sales will have overtaken the fact it doesnt get played as much, and surely by the 2nd week radio would jump on the track since its sold so much?????

Yeah, that's kind of what happened, I think. E.T. did get 6 weeks at #1 in the end (I think), but the first couple of weeks it was selling in massive amounts, radio hadn't fully caught on to it yet, but Gaga was still selling quite a lot, and on the radio all the time, so she won those weeks.

its not doing badly on pre-orders though, I guess it depends on how well Gaga holds up, their last one got less than 100k first week, so that may be a problem :(

in love with Mr Saxobeat now, top 10 please!

Really hope this goes top 10 but I have a really bad feeling it'll be a third entry in 'amazing dance songs peaking at #13' for 2011. (See also: Hello, C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise))

At least SHM have escaped that straight away :P Shame Hair is as low as #13 but I wasn't really expecting top 10.

Hope Mr. Saxobeat is top 10 next week.

Aww Hair is not top 10, not a surprise though.

OMG just noticed Caro Emerald is #10 on the albums.

EUROPEAN TAKEOVER BITCHEZZZZZZ

I am not sure. I think it could be quite close. I expect Gaga to do 200k in the first week and around 100k in her second week. I can see her falling to 80k in the third week, I am not sure if Artics can do that, given how much their last single flopped. What did the Artics last album sell on its first week?

Hair only #13. I love Hair so much, one of my favourites off her album.

Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights. A collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with "Just Dance," which topped the charts in several other countries, but The Fame truly exploded in 2009 thanks to the single "Poker Face." By 2010, Gaga was one of the biggest stars in the world, aided by her new EP The Fame Monster and its single "Bad Romance." - HMV
