Well that's Scott for you. :D He seemed to be slipping in quality the last couple of times he did the show but he's back on form this time.

SLY still sounds good, slightly less so than before it got raped by radio of course, but still good nonetheless. :D

But the awful remixes still exist. :(

Awful remixes and that 'celebrity chart numbers' are down to the producer (producer Adele I assume  ), I don't think it's Scott's fault.

As long as its fallen to around number 60 before it stabilises :P

Yeah, I heard him play Forever! It was Friday a bit before 2pm (when my lunch break at work was ending ).

it surprised me because we listen to radio 1 in work everyday(ive worked there for 4 years)and s iget to know the so called 'older' tracks they like playing and they havent played forever sine it left the playlist give or take.also think it was only blisted bak then too!!

Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights. A collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with "Just Dance," which topped the charts in several other countries, but The Fame truly exploded in 2009 thanks to the single "Poker Face." By 2010, Gaga was one of the biggest stars in the world, aided by her new EP The Fame Monster and its single "Bad Romance." - HMV

I'm so glad that BTW was evenutally the hit it should have been, 17 weeks on is pretty amazing given that it peaked on release week
This actually has had a really good chart run, people just make it out as an underperformance because of how impossibly massive the likes of JD, PF and BR were. This will probably still be a fifth (fourth? IDK) platinum seller for her.
It's a shame 'Notorious' fell as much as it did, the girls certainly don't deserve it - although it's already served its purpose and scored them a ninth top 10 hit (out of 10 attempts). I wonder whether it'll return to the top 20 in the upcoming weeks, may be hard with Example, Coldplay, Tracy Chapman and Templecloud all likely to go top 20 next week.

so in your opinion the saturdays purpose is to score a top 10 hit and fall from the top 40 within 3/4 weeks??

Certified Platinum

- Just Dance

- Poker Face

- Bad Romance

Certified Gold

- Paparazzi

- Telephone (due certification)

- Born This Way (due certification)

Quite interesting really, 'Judas' probably won't sell enough to go 'Gold', but 'Silver' will suffice; although 'LoveGame' is unlikely to reach such status. As for 'The Edge of Glory' - we'll have to wait until the video to see what impact it has on her chart run.

Eric, I really agree with you regarding we should be wanting British Artists to do well in the charts and not dropping majorly.
It would make me laugh if "Born This Way" outsold/spent more weeks top 40 than "Rolling In The Deep"
