think he will be happy at its great longevity and rise up the chart through radio play and word of mouth among all ages groups....who cares about weather its no1 or 2!!

True about this. I Need a Dollar is one of those songs that seem to be liked by people over quite a variety of ages.

I would've preferred I Need a Dollar at #1, but it's done so well anyway! :o

Like with Bass Down Low, it's so strange these songs are popular only now in the UK, when 6 months ago I was following them on US iTunes.

why??the us and uk are different countries and continents....the promo for the songs have only kicked in over here in the past month!!

Better late than never!

And Shush.

Likewise :P

Also, and this is the truth, I originally had it in my ten to vote for last month but I knocked it out to favour a discovery which I liked about equally at the time. So it was my notorious '11th placed song'. You were just unlucky that I'd already heard it beforehand :( Not that one or two points would have made that much of a difference!

Yeah, I don't know really. I guess I'm used to songs being popular in the UK and the US at roughly the same time (give or take a month or two).

You're right though. Ultimately it boils down to promotion (i.e. radio play, music videos).

yeah alisted on radio 1 and 2 hence why his album has risen up at the same time as the single...its a great pop song and doesnt have some silly rapper/dance dj which narrows its appeal down to the under 25s!!

'I Need A Dollar' is terrible! :puke: It's boring and repetitive! Good to see it falling on iTunes so it doesn't get to #1.
