Eeek, those cassettes were needed then, would have been 13 without them.

I didn't realise that The Loco-Motion isn't certified! :o Is that because her label didn't bother applying for a certification pre-1994? How strange that they didn't when it must have been applicable for Silver at least. I suppose it's still not got Silver certified now because it hasn't sold 200,000+ yet post-1994?

A shame that Especially for You and I Should Be So Lucky will forever be stuck on Gold when they should really be Platinum. :( Could Hand on Your Heart have sold 600k overall yet? That's noted as being 515k in August 2019... I guess 85k since then isn't realistic...

So strange that PWL didn't apply for a Silver certification, especially when 'Never Too Late' got one despite not actually selling all of those shipped copies ('Wouldn't Change a Thing' isn't Silver either).

'The Locomotion' sold an estimated 354k in 1988 and its sales total was given by the OCC as 425k in 2014, then 434k in 2018 (pure sales only). If we assume pure sales now stand at 440k-445k and add the estimated 109k sale-equivalent streams from last month, then its total stands at 549k-554k with 195k-200k of that being from downloads and streams. So potentially we could be seeing a Silver certification for 'The Locomotion' very soon!

Ooh thanks for that info Liam! Let’s hope that the certification is very imminent *.*

Updating this again :teresa: EDIT: And again on 24th June! Climbed from #9 to #8.

Now Padam Padam has the status of being Kylie's only lead single to peak in the lower half of the Top 10. At least, so far...

Was Time bomb not a lead single for Best of Kylie compilation?

No, it’s was part of the #K25 celebrations but the first time it appeared on an album was the BMG SBIT release.

As much as it would be satisfying to see Kylie peak at either #7 or #9 with a single given they’re the two Top 10 positions she hasn’t claimed, I’d much rather her climb even further given she might not trouble the Top 10 again so the “song peaking at each position of the Top 10” would be incomplete anyway.

Padam Padam to peak at #7, with second single Tension peaking at #9! :cheer: (I shall stop dreaming x)

I agree with you - the "Kylie has never peaked at this position until now" thing would be pretty cool, but I'd ultimately rather Padam Padam go as high as possible. Maybe not #6 though, that would be a bit frustrating in its own way, coming so close to the Top 5!

Ya in a strange way i would prefer 7 over 6 as we have had some number 6 peaks already and there is a feeling of oh crap so close but so far from top 5.

Lol shows how much attention I paid to that album release... I remember seeing one glance of the tracklist and thinking "can't believe she is releasing another GH and the tracklist looks crap... nah"

I was convinced at the time of release that it would be one of those GH’s that would never leave the charts - I think the effects of her being at Glastonbury got to me
