July 31, 201115 yr Afternoon all. I'm assuming that Ms Winehouse will have about 6 new/re entries in the top 40 this week, with not much of interest happening in the charts. She'll have 5 at most as both Valeries have fallen away a lot over the week. 3 minimum as there's no way Back To Black, Rehab or Tears Dry On Their Own could have dropped out (but Love Is A Losing Game and You Know I'm No Good could feasibly have dropped out). I hope Tears Dry On Their Own has overtaken Rehab, it was ahead on iTunes for the latter half of the week and is a far better song. Edited July 31, 201115 yr by Bré

July 31, 201115 yr Author I've never listened to Back To Basics in full, is it worth giving it a go? Honestly, no. Its better to pick at the singles I reckon.
July 31, 201115 yr Hurt is still amazing as well :o Yeah it's good, I never got into it at the time though.
July 31, 201115 yr Actually going to listen to the whole chart today Haven't really paid much attention to the Midweeks either, so most of the positions will probably be a bit of a surprise
July 31, 201115 yr I've never listened to Back To Basics in full, is it worth giving it a go? I tried it once. I still have nightmares. Candyman has its charm though. Edited July 31, 201115 yr by Brett-Butler
July 31, 201115 yr Wait, Price Tag isn't #40?!  Right There! Probably last week in the top 40 now. I'm really pleased at how successful it was. One of my favourite songs in the chart.
July 31, 201115 yr I always enjoyed Hips Don't Lie but I really was baffled by its success. Isn't it one of the top ten biggest selling singles of all time worldwide or something insane like that? It was the biggest selling single of the 00s worldwide (I think it managed to usurp Hung Up in the end anyway). Considering it's my 3rd favourite song of all time, I have no problem with it being so huge! That said, I remember us all discussing on BJ months before the release that it would be a #17 SMASH at best following the disappointing peak for Don't Bother (although she'd probably kill for a UK #9 now!). Turns out that even without Radio 1 support the quality of the song, as well as the fact that it was heavily promoted everywhere else, was enough to make it huge. Probably the second happiest I've ever been that a song's gone to #1 in the UK, after DJ Sammy's Heaven, just because I'd been championing that amongst my friends and classmates for months and was absolutely adamant that it would be a UK #1, so was pleased to be proven right 5 months later! It's just a perfect summery pop song. And it's by one of the most talented and beautiful women in the world. Agreed
July 31, 201115 yr I've never listened to Back To Basics in full, is it worth giving it a go? There are a few great album tracks but it has a LOT of filler. Quality control's always been Xtina's weakness. Makes Me Wanna Pray, Nasty Naughty Boy, Save Me From Myself and The Right Man were always my CHOIX CUTS alongside the singles, which says a lot for a double album...

July 31, 201115 yr Vato still top 40 :o Didn't expect that, the Now! boost must have helped it even if the second version never got any higher than low top 100 on iTunes...
July 31, 201115 yr Just what we need before a chart show. Meat Loaf. I watched him in Fight Club last night, he was pretty good... maybe he should stick to acting  "Right There" seems to have fallen very quickly, bloody good.
