Number 1 almost. That was bloody quick :o The fastest impact of a new entry I've witnessed between 12-2. Unbelievable how normally new releases we would see slowly debut then shoot up throughout the night but OD within an hour is impressive.

 

Then again it's not suprising I guess and I really like WMYB :kink:

I'm sure, even if One Direction plummet out of the itunes Top 100 by the end of the week, they will be No.1 on Sunday :D

 

I know you're probably joking, but I think they'll still be #1 at the end of the week. JLS and The Wanted both surprised us with their longevity, and One Direction's song surely can't be as boring as She Makes Me Wanna (although maybe it is, if there was anything interesting about it, someone would've probably said something about it by now :lol:).

Not sure. Maybe one of the X Factor winner singles or something. Or maybe something like Fight For This Love or Run. Although I vaguely remember there being something wrong with iTunes when the X Factor song last year was released, so I don't know how quick that got to #1.

Maroon 5 are probably selling about half of that at the moment. So for One Direction to sell 150,000, they'll need, on average, a 2x the pop bar of Maroon 5 the entire week. So this could mean them having a 3x pop bar today, and then gradually decreasing to equal to Maroon 5 this time next week, or whatever. I'm oversmiplifying massively here (pop bars are probably weighted, and songs sell more on Sundays than Wednesdays, etc.), but as a rough guide. :lol:

Exactly, I know it's an achievement they're already #2 but it's not like M5 or Pixie are selling much at this precise moment. I think they'll sell around 180k-190k.

I think another 150k+ seller would be good, not as the song is amazing (it's decent :P ) but that would look pretty good saleswise

 

I think this is the fastest any song has rised up itunes for a long time, even JLS' debut wasn't this quick!

someone sang a terrible version of SLY in a different arrangement on X Factor, it was brief but if it was used for flaming five seconds it would STILL send her back catalogue climbing up :drama:

I believe it's 'Fight For This Love' so far. Didn't it get to number 1 before 6am or something? :unsure: (It may actually be earlier than 6) but it looks like OneDirection will smash that time... It's an alright song, but I don't love it half as much as I should do tbh.
