Why can't 'Paradise' by Coldplay chart tomorrow? :unsure: It's gone in at #2 in Netherlands and #14 in Ireland. It seems really strange. People have bought the song yet it can't chart. Pfft!!! It's as bad as the chart rules of 2006.

It's being given away as a free gift to people who pre-order the album on iTunes. You CAN buy it but I guess it would be too hard for them to seperate the sales of who actually bought it and who got it for free. So that must be the reason.

Initially, "Viva La Vida" wasn't allowed to chart in 2008 which allowed Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" an extra week in the top 5.

Because you can get the song by pre-ordering the album which for some reason makes all of its sales ineligible. This happened with 'Viva La Vida' as well but it charted after the album was released so hopefully the same will happen here, but it's not going to chart very high as it'll be selling next to nothing by then most likely.

I don't see why it'd be hard to separate them - they just need to look at the money they've got from it rather than the number of downloads surely?

Paradise out of the top 10 :cry:

Well, it's another 'Viva la Vida' situation. But the thing is - even the non-pop acts tend not to get albums with good chart longevity without the decent chart hits, so 'Paradise' seems a bit like a wasted opportunity, given the song's quality.

What are those two Adam Hicks/Bridgit Mendler/Hayley Kiyoko/Naomi Scott songs at the bottom of the top 100? They charted in the USA ages ago. Are they from some TV show?

 

EDIT: Upon Googling it, they appear to be froma Disney Channel film called Lemonade Mouth. Ick.

About an hour ago, I never would've thought it be heading its way for the Top 10.

I very much approve of 'Cannonball' being XF's Fast Car. :wub:

 

It will be a new peak as well assuming it does go top 10, it previously peaked at #19. :D

Well, Someone Like You, went to #9 on iTunes in a matter of minutes after Adele finished her performance. Although granted, that would've been #50-something before the performance.

OMG I almost want to cry! Damien Rice is my favourite singer and O is my fave album and it always annoyed me that he never had a top 10 single (the million selling album made up partly for that). this would be mental!!!!!
