Well we thought the same last year with 'Let the Sun Shine' (And that was much more UK-radio friendly than 'Earthquake' imo).

Is Michael Buble releasing anything? He's surely a dead cert? Or have Il Divo taken his place this year? :P

I don't think Avril will get a spot. Taylor Swift is in the middle of her US tour so she won't be coming to the UK for promo either (and even if she did, I doubt she would get the X Factor slot. She was doing Alan Titchmarsh the last time she came over). Maybe Mary J Blige? She's releasing an album soon I think. And Michael Buble is releasing soon too, he'll definitely be on it! (for the 834774th year in a row)

As much as I'd LOVE Avril to get a slot for that song, I can't see it :( Maybe Kelly Rowland will be pushed forward a week to capitalise? And maybe swap Jessie J and Cher Lloyd so Cher Lloyd can have the week her album is released instead? Also, what about Pixie? It'll probably be K-Row and Pixie on one week...

Just looked at the album release schedule and following on from the previous posts...

24th October

Michael Buble – Christmas

Ronan Parke – Ronan Parke

Could the weekly theme come 23rd/24th October be "Christmas songs" to tie in with possible performances from Michael Bublé and...*gasp* Ronan Parke.

31st October

Il Volo – Il Volo

^ Another possibility here if they perform an album track to promote their new album.

7th November

Cher Lloyd - tba

Pixie Lott – Young Foolish Happy

Susan Boyle - Someone To Watch Over Me?

Well, who knows.

14th November

JLS – Jukebox

21st November

Westlife - Greatest Hits :w00t:

There will be the token "new single" which they are bound to perform to promote. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

Yeah, but LTSS was released in September, before the live shows started. Earthquake isn't released until 23th October, which would be perfect timing.

(in italics are my predictions, normal font is based on the release schedule)

Lady GaGa - You And I

17th October

Avril Lavigne – Wish You Were Here

Michael Buble - A Song from 'Christmas'

The Wanted – Lightning

21st November

Olly Murs - TBA

Rihanna - TBA

28th November

Rebecca Ferguson - TBA

The Saturdays - TBA

One Direction - TBA

5th December

Stacey Solomon - TBA

Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

12th December (Final)

Adele - Turning Tables or Rumour Has It

Lady GaGa - Marry The Night

Bruno Mars - TBA

Wonderland won't get a slot as they've been dropped. And I doubt Westlife will as they're no longer under Syco.

I'd like to see some fresh artists on the show this year (The Saturdays, Example, Dev, Katy B, The Script, B.O.B, Ke$ha, Marina and the Diamonds, Tinie Tempah, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Plan B, Wretch 32, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo) but half of them don't have material to promote. :(

Matt Cardle is releasing on the week after the first live show then as usual? Predictable

What makes people think Nicki Minaj will be on XF? I don't see it at all. Rihanna's appearance will be with the first single off album 6.

Westlife will definitely get a slot even if they're not on Syco any more. Louis wouldn't let them not get a spot. I wonder if their new single will be their first to miss the top 10 though :P 'Safe' was extremely lucky to go top 10.

I have a feeling they'll try and book Adele for the final and she'll cancel it due to illness.

Surprise, Surprise

Matt Cardle - Run For Your Life

Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love

Leona Lewis - TBA Second Single

Alexandra Burke - TBA

JLS - Take A Chance on Me

One Direction - TBA Second Single

Rebecca Ferguson - TBA

Olly Murs - TBA Second Single

Kelly Rowland - Down For Whatever

Tulisa - TBA

Others (The Big Guns)

Lady GaGa - You And I / TBA Fifth Single

Rihanna - TBA

Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

Britney Spears - Criminal

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor / Papi Medley

Looking at the release sched...

10th October

Matt Cardle – Run For Your Life

17th October

Kelly Clarkson – Mr Know It All (hopefully, I could see MKIA maybe being a number 1 with XF!)

Nicki Minaj feat Rihanna – Fly (maybe? Probably not, but Nicki is popular and Simon loves Rihanna!)

24th October

Avril Lavigne – Wish You Were Here (again, probably not but she got BGT!)

Labrinth feat Tinie Tempah – Earthquake (Labirinth is on Syco, and Tinie has connections with Tulisa - it'd be nice for us to see some urban performances!)

31st October

Beyonce - Countdown / Love On Top

Cher Lloyd feat Mike Posner - With Ur Love

Kelly Rowland – Down For Whatever

The Wanted – Lightning

(difficult week, I'd say all these 4 have great chances - maybe Bey less so with the pregnancy as I'm not sure if she'll take time out later in the pregnancy. But Cher being from last year practically guarantees a slot, and Kelly as a judge should certainly have a slot. Then The Wanted, who randomly got a slot last year. Maybe they'll do it again?)

7th November

Jessie J – Who You Are

JLS - Take A Chance On Me

(pretty much certain line-up that week  Unless the dates are changed!)

Coming Soon

Britney Spears – Criminal (apparently she has got one?)

Stacey Solomon – TBA (probably, unless she's one of the random flop stories)

Westlife – TBA (they always get a slot for whatever crap they're round to promoting...)

Plus we know Leona has one for her 2nd single Trouble! Pretty much certain Olly, Tulisa, Wand Erection, Lady Gaga (for the fitfh single), Rihanna (with her new single for the 6th album), Alexandra when she eventually premieres her single and Rebecca will have slots too.

I'm pretty sure the BBC won't let the CiN song be performed on X-Factor, not until a while after CiN anyway.

Wasn't 'Love You More' performed on XF before CIN? I don't see why this would be different.

I hope Katy Perry gets a slot to keep the streak of top tens alive from 'Teenage Dream'. It'd be a perfect end to the era.
I highly doubt Jenny Lo will get a spot, I think she is filming Parker for a while and won't be in the UK.

Damn. I was hoping she'd come over and promote 'Papi'. Hopefully it'll hold up alright with just airplay, its certainly strong enough to, though an XF slot would've got it at least top 15. I think maybe a Nicole 'Wet' style chart peak/run is on the cards, unfortunately.

I predict flop for Papi :( However, I imagine her GH next year will be a big seller, if she times it to go alongside AI.

It definitely went to no.1 after an XF performance so there isn't really a reason Teardrop can't be performed, particularly with a Barlow connection.

I'm glad there is now a dedicated thread for this - The X Factor talk over the whole forum is a bit much - not everybody will get an X Factor performance.

I'm quite sure a lot of previous X Factor acts will get the most attention... Namely One Direction, JLS, Matt Cardle, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis etc etc.

The judges will also have opportunities, I'm sure.

As for the other stars, it could be literally anyone. Possibly Britney Spears (But I'm not so sure)... Jessie J might do as well. As for the others, we'll just have to wait and see!

All this just goes to show how annoying it is for there to be basically one prime-time TV vehicle for pop music, and that vehicle is more or less the same artists getting performances year after year.
I reckon there's a chance Florence + The Machine will get on.
