I'm sorry but I don't think the deadline should be extended THAT far back (unless you're obviously busy tonight then fair do's) but those who hadn't voted should have at least written down their top 10 from their semi and saved it in Word or something and only copy and paste it into a message to Martyn today. Were they going to miss the original deadline anyway and get a deduction? Or are they going to use the "downtime" as an excuse? (Hopefully people understand what I'm trying to say)

I'm out this afternoon and won't be back online till tomorow afternoon, so there is no point of me setting the deadline today, as I wouldn't be able to post the results today. Which is the only reason why I have extended the deadline till tomorow rather than today.

Fair enough, sorry Jonjo, you'll just have to wait. At least you can celebrate getting through to judges' houses :kink:

It's only tomorrow, did you want a 10 minute extended deadline?

Cool :D Will we still get the results tomorrow too?

Also, will the rest of the contest run as expected (Voting Tue-Sun and Results on Sunday night?)

I'm glad the deadline was pushed back, as I was going to vote tomorrow evening when I suddenly didn't get the chance to. I found out about the back up forum late at night and I wasn't able to log on there for some reason. When the forum got back up again I couldn't PM Martyn, so now was my only chance to vote.

I liked just about every song in my semi though! And I could've given points to 19 of the 23 entries, so it was quite tough to award points to just 10! The quality was fabolous, but the variety of the songs was rather slim. Not that I enjoy pop, I most certainly do, but my musical taste do cover more than pop and I appreciate some variety.

I've heard literally none of these songs.

I must remember to enter XXXXIV as I've had a KILLER song for quite a while now! It can't possibly fail.

Why would you wait FIVE MONTHS though?

I think the roman numerals are reaching a stage where they get confusing for some...not that I'm suggesting getting rid of them, I think it's amusing :P

Incidentally what a DREADFUL semi I've just voted in!

49=IL/XXXXIX :wub:
I suppose whether or not we reach IL/XXXXIX depends what side of 21/12/2012 it falls on ;)

Neither of those are correct - 49 is XLIX. It goes XXXVIII, XXXIX, XL, XLI, XLII, XLIII, XLIV, XLV, XLVI, XLVII, XLVIII, XLIX, L. [/geek]

You can't put four of the same letter in a row (except M because there aren't any bigger numerals than M).

Oh shut the fuck up.

This particular time I understand how people felt when I corrected them.

Just a quick FYI, due to something that has occured over yesterday and today the results will not be up till tomorow night. As I won't have time to compile all the results tonight as I don't know when I will be back home to add everything up. The currently deadline still stands though.
Even though voting started exactly a week ago it feels like THREE WEEKS have passed.

I know, it feels like forever. Unfortunatly what has occured can't be helped. Hopfuly everything will run normaly from the final voting stages.
