I voted It Girl, since it's my favourite out of all those I guess. I wouldn't mind No Regrets being #1 either though. I quite like the song. I'd also be quite pleased if Moves Like Jagger could get there. I think it "deserves" it the most out of the whole top 10, since it's such a big hit. Although I think it's still in with a chance in the coming weeks, while Jason and Dappy only really have a chance this week.

 

Will Young, OD, James Morrison or M5 would've done for me :D

Moves Like Jagger. Not my fave on the list but it's about time it reached the top! Wouldn't mind Dappy at number 1 either though, as long as it ain't Wand Erection :puke: Ofc we know they have no chance though :P

James Morrison, with Ed Sheeran and Damien Rice making up the top 3 (I do love a male singer-songwriter I guess? :lol:)

 

Dappy is a very decent #1 anyway, I need to chart it higher on my personal chart really, it's only got to #25 so far which seems a bit low. Certainly not the best #1 ever though.

'Cannonball'. Miles better than any of the other nine.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts - if it was voting for a favourite that'd probably be Pixie, but I'd rather Maroon 5 got a week.

With the exception of Dappy that's a really good top ten. Moves Like Jagger for me. It deserves it and is still my favourite in the list but as I said I enjoy all of the other 9 songs apart from Dappy. I don't share Eric's optimism that MLJ will make it eventually.

I wouldn't actually mind MLJ being #1 to be honest as long as it's only there for 1 week, as I said the other day that may make it more likely to be forgotten in the future because it won't have the 'should have been #1' tag forever attached to it :lol:

 

Anyway, I could say the same about The A Team, which also isn't my favourite on the list but it's only marginally behind IWLYG.

If Sak Noel does a Stereo Love/Black And Yellow (or even a We No Speak Americano where it does get to #1 but a few weeks after release) the path could be clear for Maroon 5 to go 3-3-2-2-2-[2/3]-1 as I'm sure Dappy won't be able to hold a lead for more than a week. A #1 debut is far more likely for Sak but high charting fake versions doesn't always translate to a #1.

Possibly, but only time will tell which tracks are regarded as 'classics'. Ultimately such a status is achieved by being a well-loved & memorable track, not by being thwarted week after week in getting to no.1.

The most famous 'should have been no.1' of them all, 'Ultravox' by Vienna would be remembered today as a classic regardless of whether it reached no.1 or not. Actually, the whole Joe Dolce thing only seemed to come to peoples' attention a few years later. At the time I don't recall any complaints that it was being held off the top by some novelty nonsense.

 

 

I would have loved Jar of Hearts to have got to #1 at some point, so I voted that. Maybe someone will sing it on X Factor and do a Cannonball but go straight to #1 a la Adele :)

well, Dappy will only have his chance this week and I'm really liking the track atm so I voted him ^_^ I do really love this top 10 though (although I haven't heard the other two newies yet)

Jar Of Hearts, easily in my top 5 singles of the year and I can't really see anything being released to move it from there given the utter crap being released at the moment. I guess One Direction wouldn't be too bad either.

Oh yeah ^_^ just remembered, it's just that Adam Levine and Maroon 5 are near enough the same artist (except Maroon 5 has a couple of people who play instruments - what would they do for MLJ lol it's not exactly their normal pop rock style :lol:)
