Not 100% - he has spoken to the #2 before.

But I agree it is likely now :(

He's had Sugababes in the studio before, when they peaked at #2 with 'Get Sexy'. Likewise, Emeli Sande was brought in with Wretch 32 when 'Heaven' debuted at #2. I think Harris on the phone is a likely sign of it debuting at #1 though - although I'm hopeful that Maroon 5 have beaten them to it.

I think everyone's forgotten about the most obvious 'most #2's in a year', Elvis had 8 in 2005 as part of that awful reissues series, clearly that tally will never be beaten

Sure they were all re-issues of old hits but I'd still say that it counts.

I did say that :P But I said I don't count it due to all of them being re-issues of #1s.

Finally caught up with the chart. Typing out chart runs takes a long time :drama: I should really just copy and paste.

The Charlene Soraia version of WYWG was decent enough but nothing more than I expected - a fairly inoffensive female piano version of the song.

Glad to see FSC holding up well, I thought it might have a shortish chart run but it's not doing a lot worse than 'Bounce'. Hopefully his next single will actually get to #1 (and 'We Found Love' of course!)

If Moves Like Jagger is STILL #2 and Matt/GCH are too slow to catch up or drop back later in the week, maybe it can get a 7th week at #2 as well
Well I suppose it's not confirmation but still pretty likely. I remember when they rang Kate Nash to inform her she was no.2 for 5th week
You know Reggie has been doing this show for four years now. FOUR YEARS! Will he ever piss off?

You mean 2 right?

Nope :(

Looks like this probably will peak at #17 then. At least it's not falling as I expected it would this week though. Still sounds absolutely stunning and completely different to everything else in the chart

SO slappable.

Ah well, must have flicked past a few pages  I think I'd count it personally, certainly they're all referenced as individual hit singles by the OCC - Elvis' UK #1's tally is referred to as 21 as opposed to 18 even though three of these were 2005 re-releases.

The only good bit about this song is the stolen bits. They might as well have covered Ain't Nobody.
I have to say, this song just gets more stunning everytime that you listen to it. Deserves to be a #1, think this is will be its peak though.

Tru dat.

It's not stolen. I heard her being interview a couple of weeks ago on Radio 1 (by Reggie, coincidentally), and she said her record label paid for her to use it.

I suppose it does 'officially' count but I don't count it personally as I disagree that a different catalogue number makes it a different song. :P
