October 9, 201114 yr The UK Top 10 Album Chart http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2778944.JPG 01 James Morrison - The Awakening 02 Adele – 21 03 You Me At Six - Sinners Never Sleep 04 Lady Antebellum - Own The Night 05 Ed Sheeran - + 06 Kasabian – Velociraptor! 07 Ben Howard – Every Kingdom 08 Bruno Mars – Doo-Wops & Hooligans 09 Tony Bennett – Duets 10 David Guetta – Nothing But The Beat Interesting Adele squeezed in between James Morrison and You Me At Six in the end because everyone was tweeting how little there was between James and You Me At Six and pleading people to buy 'You Me At Six' for 'the sake of British rock music'. Wonder how close it was in the end?
October 9, 201114 yr Ed Sheeran could very well get to 20 straight weeks in the top 20 from the start of his chart run, since he's set to climb back into the top 10 again next week in his 18th week - I seem to recall Bruno was looking like being the first person to do that in an AGE with 'Just The Way You Are' but it stopped at 19. What was the last song to do this? Celine Dion - Think Twice in 1994/5 is the most recent example I can find and had exactly 20 consecutive weeks inside the top 20. Surely the most recent example can't be that long ago though :o Can anybody find anything more recent?
October 9, 201114 yr Chuffed for Ben Howard at #7, not a bad debut for someone who hasn't really had any singles success yet.

October 9, 201114 yr Chart Run: 37-30-38-44-48-51-71-69-xx(2 wks)-57-40-28-22-13-10-10 [15 wks] Proof right there to Lady Gaga fans that you can wait a few months after a song charting before releasing the music video, and it can still be a hit. Jason Derulo also sounds better live than I was expecting! :o :o
October 9, 201114 yr The CONTINUED success of Jason Derülo baffles me. What is there to SCREECH OVER?
October 9, 201114 yr Jason's next single 'Breathing' is probably his best one yet. It's better than 'Ridin' Solo', imo.
October 9, 201114 yr Proof right there to Lady Gaga fans that you can wait a few months after a song charting before releasing the music video, and it can still be a hit Yes, but Gaga has so many more hardcore fans, that will buy the song immidiately, hence Born This Way going to #1 on iTunes with a massive lead after just 5 hours. That loses a lot of the sales for when when it hits the casual music buyer, that could stop it going to #1, although its sales will be good; exactly what happened with BTW. October 9, 201114 yr Celine Dion - Think Twice in 1994/5 is the most recent example I can find and had exactly 20 consecutive weeks inside the top 20. Surely the most recent example can't be that long ago though :o Can anybody find anything more recent? Just seen that Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse's Valerie got 21 non-consecutive weeks in the top 20!

October 9, 201114 yr I Gotta Feeling? ^ 23 weeks (non consecutive) That is what I was thinking. 'Rockstar' by Nickelback also?
October 9, 201114 yr Can they fit eight songs in 23 minutes? This is so unprofessional. They'll either have to cut songs out or overrun. Oh there we go, cutting James short. If he just shut the f*** up earlier in the show they'd have been fine
October 9, 201114 yr Celine Dion - Think Twice in 1994/5 is the most recent example I can find and had exactly 20 consecutive weeks inside the top 20. Surely the most recent example can't be that long ago though :o Can anybody find anything more recent? That wasn't from the start of its chart run though - does that push it back even further? :o
