I doubt Matt Cardle has any chance of being number one this week, I am quite disappointed for him as he's genuine. I think the gap of 63.1% is way to much for Matt to overcome, Matt's also 24.5% behind Christina Perri what's also a lot to ask for him to overcome. He's not really continued increasing as much as expected and should actually only sell around 60,000+ this week. I think his physicals should be strong. Matt however targets a older audience, therefore I think his album sales will be around 100,000+ and sell over 600,000.

Ah, right. I remember seeing it up for pre-order on iTunes, but it just disappeared for no apparent reason!

 

Anyway, can't really see Matt climbing beyond #4 at the moment, Jar of Hearts is quite far ahead, and Stereo Hearts should make its way up the T10 very soon!

 

GCH in the top 10 now then. It's not a massive jump to #4 as Matt hasn't really pulled away at all unfortunately, so I think GCH still have a decent chance of being the highest new entry this week. It seems likely neither will even be top 3 though and it'll be Rihanna/Maroon 5 in the top 2 again (meaning a seventh straight week at #2 for MLJ :lol: but for the first time it's not a new entry holding them off) and Christina Perri getting a new peak in the top 3 :o Certainly not what was expected at all this time last week (although to be fair anyone that was expecting Christina to be back in the top 3 at this time would be a bit of an ORACLE :lol:)

 

Maroon 5 down to 77.4% now. I still have a bad feeling they might start rapidly increasing again and still get to #1 officially but I thought that when it was far more likely last week so I'm trying not to get my hopes, er, down again. :lol:

True. But you have to bear in mind that the performers on X Factor need to, firstly, be really big stars to draw in viewers (so this rules out the likes of Jason Derulo, The Script, The Saturdays, Plan B, Ellie Goulding, etc.), and need to appeal to the viewership of the show/be Heart FM-friendly (so this rules out the likes of Tinie Tempah, B.o.B, Example, Chase and Status, Eminem and Nicki Minaj).

 

I would have said Ellie G *was* 'Heart FM-friendly' myself.

Why would MLJ start increasing again? Well at least as you say it'll be the same song keeping them off. I can't believe we haven't had a 2 week no.1 since JULY.
