I thought he died earlier in the week? I saw a report on Daybreak this morning at 8am saying he'd died during the week she'd had to decide whether she was staying or whether she would go to his funeral, but her family wanted her to stay. Either way, that must be difficult. I'm sure whatever song she sings will be emotional for her.

With it being Janet's grandfather, it's not like she's some random releation, they'd probably have been quite close. I know she lives in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE in Ireland but surely her whole family knew she was on X Factor. Why then have the funeral on Saturday? It's their decision, I suppose, but I find it odd they'd want her to not go. Surely she'd rather pay her respects? Then again, free passes to the next round can be quite controversial.

Hmmm, I sort of did in my previous post but I didn't really want any hate posts from Janet fans. I don't see why her family wouldn't move it tbf. He only died in the middle of last week. My grandad was buried more than a week later (I remember because he died on a Friday and I had a week at school but his funeral wasn't until the half term holiday). Unless there's a religious reason or something surely they could have arranged a different date knowing that Janet was on X Factor.

Surely it is best to just express sympathy for Janet and move on.
