if they're only a few thousand ahead, then Rihanna should easily overtake today or tomorrow, I do wonder if Charlene could be a late contender, its not actually far from number 1 on Itunes

great sales for Noel (I think its clear who's won out of the two Gallagher projects :P ) and good sales for Matt as well, should stop the 'OMG FLOP' crowd if it gets decent sales this week

No, they still think 'OMG FLOP' because around 70k would be poor for 'an X Factor winner' despite the fact only 3 winners have ever topped those sales with their debuts and all had largely successful hits before releasing. I seriously don't see why people expect MASSIVE success for XF winners when it clearly isn't the norm.

It's been clear for a while Matt had no chance up against Noel. Hopefully Noel is heading for 100k+. Great to see AKA...WAL! high up again as well.

yeah well u are in the minority with me then.... Cause loads of people were thinking that MATT would easily walk it even on the Havenforum.co.uk they were saying the same... I kept saying Don't underestimate Noel Gallagher, he has a very very strong fan base. And look now he is outselling mat 2:1 :)

Tbh, as a Matt fan, the minute I saw he was up against Noel (even before the preorder indications) I knew Noel would walk it.

interesting :), I was under the impression that most people on here thought. His Xfactor performance would easily give Matt a #1 album.

I did say it wouldn't surprise me if Matt was still #1 but really I've expected Noel to walk it for a couple of weeks now. It doesn't really matter if Matt is #1 or #2 though, the sales are what's important and Letters looks like having decent sales so it's not too much of a disaster.

Unfortunately, the XF performance was a week before the album was released. It was to promote the single (what little good it did). Perhaps had he performed last weekend he would be in with more of a chance. But it's still Noel Gallagher, I don't see how he couldn't get to no.1!

Michael Buble also had a documentary on ITV2 Saturday night.

Michael Bublé ALWAYS has a documentary on  I bet if they stuck a Bublé documentary on on ITV1 before/after XF it'd send CL straight back to the top 10.

Think you might be right there lol. He's not really my thing and a bit over-rated but I'm obviously in a minority by his album sales :)

On the singles chart in sixth place as a new entry is the Stranger label’s Lana Del Rey with Video Games.

Lana Watch Pt I :D

Great to see 'Video Games' starting the week off at #6 - hopefully the track will sneak into the top 10 on iTunes whilst hold firmly at #1 in the Albums with the EP. I will actually be ecstatic if this can remain top 10 until Sunday. Hopefully it'll start getting more recognition then from people who have yet to hear this gem. :D

Lana is down to #4 with the EP already :P To be fair it's just been overtaken by Noel x2 and Matt x1 though. I do think it'll start properly falling before the end of the week anyway though.

Exacly what position is Katy Perry?

#16 - it's in the report. :P

If this happens then we will know who to blame.

69 with Russell Brand :D

Glad steps are still top 3, hopefully Adele doesn't overtake them! would be great if they sold another 30k this week! do they have anymore promo lined up?
