October 18, 201114 yr At least Matt is ahead of Daniel O'Donnell (surely vidcapper must be multibuying the Ultimate collection). Noel will do well over 100k, hope Riri can overtake. The Wanted should never have moved the release date.
October 18, 201114 yr I like James Morrison's single, shame it's dropping. Will's Jealousy out of the top 40 will be replaced by Come On hopefully. I expected Matt to do well despite the single placing, fans were preordering it since the XFactor final. :D
October 18, 201114 yr Author Any prediction updates for James morrison the awakening? Cheers 5+2 sorry. ^^Lana Del Ray and Noah and the Whale were also both on Later this week and doing pretty well. I wonder if it has been quite influential. I expect so, considering it's one of the last music shows on TV, unless you count the X Factor, which has 3 (!) guest performances this week. If now isn't the time to bring back Top Of The Pops then when?
October 18, 201114 yr Am I the only one who's suprised how well Matts album has sold? 28,000 on day 1 is great, especially since the bad receiving of RFYL and compared to Joes 39k in week 1. So, it could sell 70,000+ this week. Based on the poor single choice, I think he's doing quite well. I can't see Steps catching up with him so he should have the no.2 album, which is quite good. October 18, 201114 yr So what is the general opinion on Matt's sales? I'm thinking they are quite low but could have been worse? By week end are we thinking the 28k will be doubled? Based on Joe's sales just as a guide he had low 20k's at this point so Matt has done a bit better. Considering Matt's single failed to go into the top 5 which many people would have predicted, he has sold reasonably okay in terms on his album. I expect Rihanna will overtake the Wanted by the end of this week.
October 18, 201114 yr Matt's sales are pretty healthy, casual buyers later in the week should see it between 60 and 80k by Sunday. Pretty solid, Noel will be dangerously frontloaded but then again "Time Flies" opened with less than 30k on Tuesday and finished the week on 100k last year. I know it was a GH but even so I'm hoping it shows he can pick up a lot of weekend buys. 100k looks assured. Also, who the hell is buying the physical single of "AKA... What A Life!"? If it's at #21, despite barely being top 40 combined on iTunes, it just shows it could have done so much better than a #20 peak with the video and physical out the same week as the download.
October 18, 201114 yr Where is Run For Your Life? Delighted Katy Perry will re-enter the top 10 come Sunday.

You think Matt will sell that many? I was thinking he would be frontloaded too with a year of pre orders and obviously that would be before all the negavity surrounding the single. I guess time will tell.

I was thinking he would be frontloaded too with a year of pre orders and obviously that would be before all the negavity surrounding the single. I guess time will tell. I think people would have pre-ordered the single as well as the album and that didn't do great, so I'd be surprised if there were THAT many ancient pre-orders.
October 18, 201114 yr Good start for Matt. There was no chance of no.1 this week but he should beat first week sales for Leon, Steve and Joe. I knew the album would perform better than the single. Hopefully Maroon 5 can stay top 10 in the albums too.

Absolutely, Noel will be front loaded with pre-orders and first day sales. But Im sure at worst he will do 100k. hoping he will do around 120k? Matt will be front loaded too, and i think at best he will be looking at maybe 80k max. lots of people like me bought the AKA.. What a life cd single from Noels website. I agree its shame they didn't release it all in the same week. As it would have had a much higher peak
October 18, 201114 yr Go Katy! Didn't expect her performance to have such an amazing effect on her album, but I guess sales are low..
October 18, 201114 yr Thank you Tom, Good to see Will hanging around :D happy for Kelly, hopefully she can stay top five.
October 18, 201114 yr Impressive for Noel, always seemed like it would do big things though... Glad Steps are only down to #3 so far :D Wonder if it could sell 30k again this week, wouldn't be surprised! Lovely to see Charlene Soraia top three too, good for Kelly Clarkson at #4!
October 18, 201114 yr I think the Wanted will drop to #3 later in the week, Charlene is about to takeover them on itunes. Rihanna should comfortably get a third week, I bet my smelly socks on that. Album sales have improved on last week, hopefully top 2 albums selling over 70k plus and M83 album is a must have some great tracks on there, I hope the album can stay top 40, I doubt it though.
October 18, 201114 yr Rihanna should reclaim #1 for a third week by Sunday if The Wanted are only 'a few thousand' ahead. Brilliant to see Maroon 5 down to #5 in the singles, they'll probably re-overtake Kelly by Sunday but they shoukd definitely be outside the top 3. :D The Calling top 15 :D Hopefully they can at least stay top 20. Bieber already top 15? It seems some Monday releases conform to being lower than they are on iTunes and others don't for some reason  This being an example of the latter. Surprised but pleased to see Nero lodging a climb today. I thought they may be down to 39 or so. I wonder why it never showed up in any of the mids last week? She Will Be Loved top 40 :puke: It's falling quickly on iTunes now it's back up to 99p though so should drop out over the next few days. I can see Someone Like You climbing back in as well. (I'm guessing the artist update is meant to say Adele [sFTTR] 30+9) 28k is a fine first day tally for Matt, might sell close to 80k this week which is great if a little bit underwhelming. I'm sure it won't experience anywhere near as big of a second-week dive as Joe did as well. It's been clear for a while Matt had no chance up against Noel. Hopefully Noel is heading for 100k+. Great to see AKA...WAL! high up again as well. Who let Maroon 5's album back in the top 10? :puke: Good to see Katy back as well, I'm not keen on the new single though. '19' back in the top 15 :D Bublé back in the top 30 again? :drama: What's the reason for its climb this time? Edited October 18, 201114 yr by Bré
