oh did it? its listed as a new entry on chart stats  I stand corrected then :P

Chartstats has it listed twice - its week at #41 (and an earlier one at #86) are listed as 'Gettin' Over ft. Chris Willis' and the rest of its run is listed as 'Gettin' Over You ft. Chris Willis'.

Well, it really died in 1995 when Robson and Jerome beat Common People and then Wonderwall to #1 <_<

Surely Unchained Melody is, if not better then at least as good song as those two?

Robson & Jerome though...

I love Mike Flowers Pops' remake of Wonderwall.

It wasn't the song they covered, more the fact it was R&J.

Common People and Wonderwall are probably amoung my fave songs ever though, so I rate them far higher.

Unchained Melody is a great song. However, the R&J version (and the Gareth Gates version) fail to achieve greatness.

The verses of SH sound like they're from a completely different (and much better) song than the chorus. It's like they've ripped the chorus of a Maroon 5 song and spliced it in with a standard GCH song.

I do still really like it though.

I'm pretty sure Lana's album is called 'Born To Die'.
We Found Love for at third week at number 1? If so, it will be Rihanna's second longest-reiging number one (obviously behind the 10-week umbrella).
sadly i aint been able to get into the lana song, it just didnt hook me in

+1

I'm pretty sure Lana's album is called 'Born To Die'.

It doesn't say anything about her album on Wikipedia as far as I can tell, but I'll add that to the recap anyway.

Oh goodbye in getting #1 MLJ

Lowest peak since its release as well :o

poor maroon 5! but at least christina aguilera has had a sizable hit in the uk again!

It was mentioned in something I read today as part of my research. There were enough alternative sources to avoid Wiki

Say what you like, but 10 weeks in the top 4 is AMAZING.
