No shocking DNQ's this month but I did love that French song in Semi 2, I know it realistically had no chance at all to qualify but the music is is very grand and impressive on it imo.

 

Yep, that's the one I charted purely because it didn't have a hope in hell of making it :( Laurent Voulzy is a huge star in France, been making records since the 70s.

 

Poor taste on Buzzjack's part! I hope it's not a case of it being a really close semi that had Casey lose out from not voting, if only because that would be so much more painful.

It may have been better if I hadn't been reading comments about how absolutely anything could qualify and the quality was amazing, completely underwhelming. Rebecca & Fiona track was one of the very best there and it's nowhere near as good as the two tracks which got sent to UP, and I'm not a huge fan of either of them

 

Looking at the result, that's even worse than I thought! I love all four of their songs pretty much equally and went for the one I thought pop fans would like the most, clearly got that judgement massively wrong. Even my last entry with Wiley and Wretch 32 did better :wacko: Oh well, I'll console myself and listen to all four Friends tracks :wub:

 

Personally I really enjoyed almost every track in the semi so when I said that the quality was amazing, I meant it, I kept 12 Semi 1 songs on my iPod compared to 5 Semi 2 songs...it's all subjective of course though, perhaps you'd have loved Semi 2!

 

I think I'm His Girl would have qualified with ease, I'm guessing that you perhaps thought it was already too well known to send though? I found your entry ok but I can't say it stuck in my head at all after three or four listens whereas a couple of their other tracks that I've heard have been very instant.

 

Words can't describe how ANGERED I am that Hunting Season hasn't made it through. ARGH.

 

I feel the same about the Fanadminaj entry, which also DNQ'd purely because of a deduction for not voting :arrr:

Can't say I'm overly disappointed about any of the DNQs this time personally. Zechonia was the only DNQ I voted for, giving it 3 points and Bignia and Kylienips would have got 3pts and 1pt respectively if I was voting in the second semi.

yes :lol: In The Zone is my all time fave album and I needed to name my country int hat style :D

 

that's actually combination with French language, ''In The Zone'' in French is ''Dans La Zone'', so I combined the first letter of my nickname to the La Zone and I got N-Lazone :D

This was part of the reason I didn't send it I guess. I am pretty obsessed with them at the moment, I think all of their songs are 9 or 10/10 but I knew that I'm His Girl was getting a fair bit of love on here anyway and was supposedly on a TV advert, so wanted people to hear something else by them. Just a shame they didn't like as much as I do.
